Legalization of Marijuana

  • Now that Trump wants to build the wall it makes it more important to legalize marijuana which is not a harmful drug which people in America have enjoyed for many years.
  • Natural drugs like mescaline peyote and psilocybin magic mushrooms can be used in clinics for healing many types of depression.
  • Try to be drug free. If it doesn’t work, the Torah the law of God gives permission to use light drugs in moderation like alcohol, and maybe even marijuana.

It would be great if people didn’t need a high and were satisfied with life the good and the bad; but it is not true.  The need for psychiatric medicine is growing.  Some of these medicines have side effects.  Judaism did not object to drinking a little alcohol, it even can have good stimulation, for it says, When goes in wine, opens up secrets.  Religious extremists suppress the need for alcohol and sometimes become terrorists. The law of God teaches moderation.

Marijuana in the 60s was mostly being used in poverty areas in America where there was also living Puerto Ricans.  When began the hippie movement in the middle of the 60s and 70s marijuana use became more common in middle class and upper class communities. Since marijuana was illegal there was a stigma connected to it of being a criminal.  People caught by the police possessing marijuana had on their record the offense of being caught with marijuana which damaged their future in employment.  Marijuana was considered to be an illegal drug like Hashish which contained sometimes Opium, and other more harmful drugs including narcotics.

In the 60s for most college students drinking Alcohol, bars and discos were most social.  Few people smoked pot or Hashish. A new generation grew up at the end of the 60s marijuana smokers, Hashish, pill poppers, speeders users of amphetamines, psychedelics including acid, heroin and cocaine addicts.  Marijuana was always considered a light high different from alcohol being more mind than body.  People who used marijuana and other drugs in those days usually stopped taking the more dangerous drugs but continued to use marijuana secretly.  However there was attached to the use of marijuana being illegal a stigma of being a criminal.

America is beginning to legalize marijuana state by state.  With the borders open to Mexico it was always easy to smuggle marijuana into America.  Now that Trump wants to build the wall it makes it more important to legalize marijuana which is not a harmful drug which people in America have enjoyed for many years.  Marijuana can help people to relax just like alcohol and is less dangerous than Alcohol.  It also may have other health benefits like a treatment for glaucoma.  It is better not to develop the habit of using marijuana but it is not addictive like other drugs; so the habit can be kicked more easily.  Driving on Marijuana can be dangerous and there should be strict laws against driving when intoxicated like the use of alcohol. Marijuana causes lethargy and after a few hours tiredness. The powerful blends can even cause sometimes hallucinations.  Nations have hesitated to legalize marijuana for these reasons.

Marijuana should be legalized in America for people over the age of 21.  Minors that are caught using marijuana should be treated like minors using alcoholic beverages. Legalizing marijuana will reduce crime in America.  People who need a high may prefer to use marijuana if it is legal rather than to use illegal drugs more dangerous and addictive.  Hashish can also be legalized, since it is in the family of marijuana.

Marijuana gives more than just a high to feel silly like getting drunk.  It sometimes opens up the consciousness of people.  Many people see marijuana as a mind expansion drug; not only a social high.  Certain types of grass give more of high than others; some just relax the body without affecting the mind.   Since America has already begun to use drugs illegally; they can already legalize marijuana and hashish.  Pushers of illegal drugs are sometimes criminals and can be dangerous.  America by legalizing marijuana can take it out of control of the mafia.  Marijuana and Hashish can be legalized for social use not only for healing benefits prescribed by a doctor.

There are other important drugs in the world which God has created for a divine purpose.  Natural drugs like mescaline peyote and psilocybin magic mushrooms can be used in clinics for healing many types of depression. Mescaline and psilocybin is also produced synthetically.  LSD and other known psychedelics when used properly under supervision of a mentor are beneficial to bring people to higher levels of consciousness.  Today when psychedelics are completely illegal not under supervision of the FDA there is often sold illegally dangerous psychedelics which can cause psychosis. There should be a way for people to try psychedelic drugs legally where they know exactly the ingredients in the tab and that it is not bootleg stuff.  Americans needs to uplift their consciousness to transcend the desire for money, the need to gamble, and overcome the fear of nuclear destruction.

Many of the youth in my days in the 60s and 70 were harmed by illegal psychedelics.  They had bad trips unsupervised and never recovered. Many of them afterwards turned to Heroin.  By legalizing marijuana makes also a need to provide mescalin, psilocybin, and acid LSD through prescription only.  Timothy Leary opened many spiritual doors through producing acid in his laboratories. People took advantage of the opportunity to make money through pushing bad stuff.  John Hopkins Medical Center has done a study and found benefits in taking these psychedelics. People who want to take a trip should do it legally.

There are other ways to get spiritual and emotional uplifting not only through drugs but drugs are also a way.  Try to be drug free.  If it doesn’t work, the Torah the law of God gives permission to use light drugs in moderation like alcohol, and maybe even marijuana.

He has inscribed his name on the Mosque Na,Nac,Nachma,Nachman MaUman which has become a chant for his many followers. Try it. It may give you a high.)
