Enough accusing people of racism. Everyone is guilty of racism. The source of racism begins with the family. The father and more so the mother favors their own children over everyone in the world. The family is the first racial unit. The next racial unit is the national unit. Each nation is devoted to protecting its own citizens and its borders need to be closed to some extent from people of the outside. Nations are built according to ethnic groups and religion. In each nation the majority rules the nation and the minority is suppressed to some extent. Rather than accuse others; take the blame.
The world is divided into nations. The nations of the world today are part of the United Nations. The goal of the United Nations is to unite the world divided into nations in peace. The world is divided into religions Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Bhuddist, Hindu, and other smaller religions believing in peace and unity of a one God World. The solution of building a One God world is different according to each religion. Each religion believes that they have the right way. The result is religious conflicts. Religious conflicts today are less violent than they were in the past when the Byzantine Empire fought with the Ottoman Empire. Religion is connected to Nationalism. Religion is racist like nationalism.
Religions were established not through the choice of the prophets and their revelations which preceded them but by accepting human imperfection. These prophets were against racism. Abraham was against racism. Moses was against racism. Jesus was against racism.
In Genesis 22: God tested Abraham to give up racism like it says, “And it came to pass after these things, that God did test Abraham and said to him, Take now thy son, thy only son Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of Moriyya, and offer him there a burnt offering upon one of the mountains, which I will tell thee.” Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son who he loved and who his wife Sarah waited 91 years to give birth to him. Abraham accepted the request of God even though he knew that it would danger the life of his dear wife Sarah. Abraham knew that the love of God should be elevated and be more important than the love of family. Abraham agreed to fulfill the request of God. Isaac his son was 21 years old at this time. He also understood the reason why God requested from his father to sacrifice him. He understood that a true belief in God requires to surrender racism. After he had already placed Isaac on the altar ready to sacrifice him, God sent an angel to him to stop him. Abraham had passed the test. God knew that he was a prophet of truth and not a racist. Moses and Jesus both were against racism as is known by students of the Bible.
Nevertheless, racism is a reality. Racism is part of the nature of the human being who is not perfect. Judaism was established by prophets Abraham, Isaac, Jacob who were against racism. Christianity was established after Jesus publically showed his opposition to racism and nationalism which caused him to be sentenced to death. Mohammed chose to embrace the story of Abraham sacrificing his son on the altar as a foundation of Islamic faith. He claimed that Ishmael the son of Abraham was substituted for Isaac and placed on the altar to be sacrificed. Mohammed was against racism because Abraham is the father of Islam. Nationalism whether religious or secular is racist. Religious nationalism accepts that their nations were established through prophets who were against racism. The belief in One God requires also to be against racism whether secular or religious. The difference between secular nationalism and religious nationalism is in the acceptance of laws of morality but they are both racist.
According to the Bible racism began after the sin of Adam and Eve. The sin of Adam and Eve was only that they loved each other and conceived two children Cain and Abel who had racist jealously between them to cause Cain to kill Abel. Racism is in human nature.
To request people to show their opposition to racism in the way of Abraham, Moses, or Jesus is asking too much. Already racism has penetrated the world and is accepted by humanity as a human fault. There is however idealism in the world left over by the prophets of civilization to mankind. They have left a place in life for all people to oppose racism. Mankind can accept their sin to be racists and make an effort to limit racism.
The Lubavitcher Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson in 1983 proposed for all the world to accept a Moment of Silence in recognition of One God the Almighty. He proposed for Public schools to make a Moment of Silence for this purpose. There are many different approaches to prayer in different languages. When there are groups of people of different faiths a Moment of Silence rather than a specific prayer would be able to unite them with God without causing hatred between them. Moment of Silence is free from racism.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe made his greatest efforts in his life to stop racism amongst Jews. He preached Jewish Unity opposing hatred between Jews based on religious and secular values. Later in his life before his stroke which crippled him, he appealed for those that came after his generation to complete his work to bring deeper the Messianic Era into the world. Completing the great efforts of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and his suggestion to make a Moment of Silence, now is the time for each and every human being without regard to his faith or religion whether he be secular or religious to take one moment of his life each day for meditation and silence as a gesture of opposition to Racism. The Moment of Silence is a recognition of the importance of World Unity and Peace and a prayer for forgiveness an apology for being racist.
God should receive this prayer and bring an end to war and a beginning of God realization and self-realization for all of mankind. Silence unites the world but silence alone can also be sad. Language divides people until all the world can reach a language of unity which is also a goal of peace. Until all people together can agree on words, the temporary solution is to add sound and music to be joined with silence until can be added to this music words of truth, a common language.
There can only be peace when is displayed by mankind a true desire to end racism following the way of the prophets. The prophets the founders of religion on earth were against racism. Racism is the cause of war and against peace, against God whose name is peace. Give one moment of every day to receive the message from Abraham the father of all of the great nations of the world who was willing to sacrifice his son and his life not to be racist. Give a moment of silence free from racism. God is supreme. God is free from racism. God is one. God is peace. Connect to God whose name is peace. Connect to God the creator of the universe who loves all his creations.
There are two realms of spirituality which are free from racism and with an accepted law of God specific to the religion. Baha”i and Progressive Jewish spirituality unites both of these levels. Abraham unites both of these levels. Abraham sacrificing his cherished son. Abraham the father of Judaism and Islam.
