Roskosmos posted recent ideas they’ve received pertaining to moon travel. The Roscosmos is a state corporation for space activities. It is a Russian corporation responsible for a wide range and types of space flights and programs.
A Russian scientist, Alexander Mayboroda, Director of Avanta Consulting in Rostov-On-Don, offered his engineering solutions. He has a myriad of patents pertaining to space. The most recent one being a “Method for Delivering Cargoes into Space and a System for Implementation of Same.” Rostov-on-Don is a port city and the administrative center of Rostov Oblast, the Southern Federal District of Russia.

The moon base will contain a centrifuge, which will allow an earth-like level of gravity. The proposed quanta of mass of the centrifuge would be 1 tonne, with the overall mass in the range of 2 to 9 tonnes. Quanta is the plural for quantum, which are packets of this sub-atomic energy. The classical view of mass is that it quantifies the amount of substance and is a kinematical parameter. All matter has an attribute of mass and is a conserved quantity in any interaction. It is known humans can only survive on other planets if they are similar to Earth. During a zero gravity scenario, the human body starts experiencing negative changes.
The Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia has an apparatus with a radius of 59 feet and the overall mass is 305 tonnes. The suggested centrifuge design rate for the moon should have a radius of 734 feet or more, due to the fact that with a smaller radius the Coriolis forces start having a negative impact on the human body. The Coriolis force acts on objects that are in motion within a frame of reference that rotates with respect to an inertial frame.
Construction of the centrifuge moon base would include using 123 foot vertical rods in conjunction with a shoulder radius of 734 feet, which will have living modules connected via cords. The weight on the moon is six times smaller in comparison to Earth, which allows the design to use a smaller mass rod.
Moreover, the parameters allow transportation to the moon using already existing carriers. Every living module will need anti-radiation shielding. Each square meter needs two tonnes of anti-radiation shielding for a total of 154 tonnes. The anti-radiation shielding would use regolith and an artificial magnetic field similar to the Earth’s parameters, allowing unlimited living time on the moon for the base staff.
Regolith is a layer of loose, heterogeneous superficial deposits covering solid rock. Lunar soil is the fine fraction of the regolith found on the surface of the Moon. Nearly the entire lunar surface is covered with regolith. Galactic cosmic rays are extremely penetrating ionizing radiation. They can pass through aluminum but can be stopped by dense material, hence the proposal of using regolith.
Exposure to space radiation has been a limiting factor in the manned missions to the moon. Currently spacesuits and rovers only provide temporary protection from the radiation.

Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky was a Russian and Soviet rocket scientist and pioneer of the astronautic theory, who actually predicted that humans will live on other planets. The lunar colony using a centrifuge base with artificial gravity will allow prolonged stays on the moon, including permanent residency. The new model will allow a new generation to be born on the moon. The proposed name of the moon base is Gravity City.
