Apartheid – Secular and Religious

  • Iran continuously publically states their intention to destroy Israel and wipe Israel off the face of the map.
  • Iran cannot use Apartheid as a reason to want to destroy Israel.
  • The balance of power in the Middle East today is disrupted by Iran.

When the officials in Iran were interviewed recently they were asked: Why do you want to destroy Israel?  Iran continuously publically states there intention to destroy Israel and wipe Israel off the face of the map.  This is also the wish of Hamas and Jihad in the Gaza Strip.  This official in Iran answered to this question, “Israel is an apartheid state. We were also against the apartheid state in South Africa.

Apartheid began in South Africa in 1948 when the National Party was elected in office. The National Party government classified all South African people into three races and developed rights and limitations for each. The white minority less than 20% controlled the vastly large Black majority. The legally instituted segregation of people became known as apartheid.  The whites enjoyed the highest standard of living in all of Africa.  The Blacks lived in poverty.

In 1974 began steps of peaceful transition of power and equality for all, which began an end to apartheid. In 1993 under the leadership of Nelson Mandela already came an end to apartheid in South Africa.

Iran compares Israel to South Africa during apartheid.  Iran supports the Syrian Alawite government of Assad which represents the Alawite population of Syria which is only 17% of the whole Muslim population.  The Alawites Muslim Shiites maintain order in Syria and defend their constituents against the majority of Muslims who are Sunni.  Whenever there were violent clashes between the two sides Assad administration quickly annihilated the other side.  The standard of living for Alawites is much higher than for other Syrians. Iran considers Israel an Apartheid nation but supports Syria in which there is greater differences in living conditions than between Arab Israeli and Israelis.  In Israel 75 % are Jewish and 20% Arab.  Israel has been working to improve the standard of living of Arabs but it is still lower than the standard of living of Jewish Israeli.  Statistics have shown that the standard of living of Arabs in Israel has risen from the year 2010.  Arab citizens receive equal social security benefits as Jews.  There is representation of Arabs in the Israel government.  The Arab community is far from impoverished as compared to the Sunni communities in Syria.

Iran itself is an Islamic religious state which prohibits marriage for Muslims out of their faith.  Marriage and divorce is controlled in Iran under Islamic law. Marriage and divorce in Israel is under the Israel Orthodox Rabbinate.  There are as many issues of Apartheid in Iran as in Israel.  Iran cannot use Apartheid as a reason to want to destroy Israel.  Maybe Iran is referring to Israel at the times of the holy temple when there was no equality between Jews and gentiles; a one party government run by its religious leaders.  Today Israel has accepted change; there is freedom of religion.  Today began the festival of Eurovision in Tel Aviv with entertainers participating from all over the world including Madonna. To accept these changes is difficult for the Ultra-Orthodox but freedom has become a new religion in the world accepting Orthodox Religion with Old Age customs which are called today Apartheid.

There must be another reason why Iran wants to destroy Israel.  Iran resents Israel because of its power in the Middle East.  Iran wants to claim supremacy for their nation and Shiites Muslims in the Middle East. To achieve supremacy means to destroy Israel and Saudi Arabia.  Egypt the largest populated nation in the Middle East is primarily Sunni but is no threat to Iran because economically Egypt is bankrupt.  They have very little natural resources like other nations in Arabia.  Egypt depends highly on American support.

Iraq under Suddam Hussein was the most powerful of nations in the Middle East.  They were a threat to Iran. Iran and Iraq battled from 1980 -1988. Iraq wanted to replace Iran as the dominant Persian Gulf State.  Iran still wants to be the dominant Persian Gulf State and Israel disrupts the balance of power in the Middle.

The balance of power in the Middle East today is disrupted by Iran. Iran is far from a democracy. Iran as a nuclear power would be dangerous to the other nations in the Middle East especially with Sunni populations.  President Obama was hesitant to try to disarm Iran because of its strategic location in the Persian Gulf at the Strait of Hormuz which is used for transportation of oil and gas throughout Europe and the whole world.  To lower the status of Iran from controlling the nations in the Middle East and from defending Israel was above the ability of Obama a democrat.  He had just decided to take his troops out of Iraq. Trump the Republican came to be President to do the job which Obama couldn’t do, to bring the Middle East to a balance of power.  While Iraq and Iran were fighting, both nations had no time and freedom to disturb the balance of power in the Middle.  After the War between Iraq and Iran the problem began again.

President Bush finished Iraq which left Iran as the power in the Middle East.  President Trump now has to follow the work of President Bush and to create a balance of power in the middle east favoring those nations connected to the Western world.

Iran by destroying Israel and gaining Nuclear weapons becomes a threat to the whole world.
