Asda Updates Their Policy on Five Staples Household Foods

  • Asda has recently experienced some challenges to its business from coronavirus lockdown rules.
  • Asda is also looking to increase its customer base
  • Asda is committed to providing customers with the products that they need.

Asda was modifying the packaging of its own-brand goods following pressure from health experts. The store will carry out several steps to combat obesity among adolescents. By eliminating cartoon figures from milk and juice packets, there would be fewer temptations for kids to consume fast food.

Asda Stores Ltd. trading as Asda is a British supermarket chain, headquartered in Leeds, England. The company was founded in 1949 when the Asquith family merged their retail business with the Associated Dairies company of Yorkshire.

Asda has recently experienced some challenges to its business from coronavirus lockdown rules. The new rules will cut into the extra hours that Asda can offer its customers because it will have to shut down for three hours during the day and remain closed at night.

Asda is therefore changing their store rules to be open in these periods. If you are an Asda customer in London, you won’t see this change happening soon but it’s something that is in the future.

Asda nutritionist Beth Fowler said: “We understand retailers play a crucial role in helping customers make more informed choices in the supermarket aisles, which is why we’ve taken the step to erase cartoon characters from our own brand cereals.

“We’ve launched a new ‘Live Better’ icon, signposting the healthiest options in Asda’s own-brand ranges. It’s just one of the many initiatives Asda is rolling out in 2020 to help make a positive impact on our customers’ lives.”

In addition to the laws concerning facemask wearing in public places Asda has introduced a policy that has come to be known as “shop on board”. This policy allows customers in the store to pay for their items without having to stand in line to do so.

As long as the cashier is available to accept the payment from the customer is free to leave the store and go about their business. This is a great benefit to Asda’s loyal customers because it saves them time and makes shopping at Asda more fun.

Asda is also looking to increase its customer base. To do this they have introduced two new stores in London. One is located in London’s Westfield shopping center and the other is located in trendy Shoreditch. Both of these stores are located in high footfall areas where Asda hopes to attract new customers to the company.

Asda is committed to providing customers with the products that they need. Therefore they have decided to make the most of their location by putting a focus on offering quality services in an environment that is relaxing.

By doing this they hope to maintain their loyal customer base while at the same time making adjustments to increase sales. Whether or not these efforts are successful depends upon you as the consumer. Only you can decide if opening an Asda store in a high-traffic area is a good move for you.
