At G20 Summit Ivanka Trump and Mike Pompeo: “Beauty and the Beast”

As the US delegation was lining up for a photo with South Korean counterparts on the eve of his historic steps into North Korea, President Trump and President Moon Jae-in were in the center with his wife Kim Jung-sook.  In the back was Mike Pompeo and the next official in line was senior adviser Ivanka Trump Kushner. Mike Pompeo casually slipped into the photo. Ivanka took an unusual prominent role during her father’s trip to Asia.

Jared and Ivanka have three children, a daughter born in July 2011 and two sons born in October 2013 and March 2016.

Everyone was aware that Ivanka was not the first lady.  Melanie Trump skipped the visit to Osaka for the G20 summit and the following trip to Seoul.  Ivanka presented herself as both a member of the US delegation and from the family of the President. It was unprecedented for a child of a President to appear before world leaders at gatherings like these. She attended multiple bilateral meetings at the G20 summit in Osaka.

She spoke at a Women’s Economic empowerment forum presenting her Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative.  She stood firmly amongst World leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emanuel Macron, IMF chairwoman Christine Lagarde and British Prime Minister Theresa May.  She also traveled with the delegation to Seoul where she attended the dinner at the Blue House all the way to the DMZ where her father shook hands with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.   All this time Pompeo remained in the background. She crossed the line into North Korea waiting for her father for approximately 50 minutes in a Blue Shelter. When she was asked how it was to be in North Korea she answered “surreal.”

At the conclusion of the trip’s events on Sunday, the President called his daughter and Mike Pompeo to the stage as he addressed the troops at Osan Air base.  He called the duo of Ivanka and Pompeo “Beauty and the Beast.”

In 2007, she formed a partnership with Dynamic Diamond Corp., the company of diamond vendor Moshe Lax, to create Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, a line of diamond and gold jewelry sold at her first flagship retail store in Manhattan. She also had her own line of Ivanka Trump fashion items, including clothes, handbags, shoes, and accessories, available in major U.S. and Canadian department stores

Ivanka Trump was born October 30, 1981.  She is the daughter and second child of his former wife Ivana.  Her parents divorced in 1992 when she was 10 years old.  She grew up in Manhattan, attended Chapin School until she was 15. She transferred to a dormitory school in Wallingford Connecticut.  After graduation from high school she attended Georgetown University for two years and completed her B.A in economics at the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 receiving cum laude. In 2005 she started dating Jared Kushner whom she met through mutual friends.  In 2008 the couple broke up at the request of the parents of Jared probably because she was not Jewish.  This enabled her to marry Jared after being separated for over one year to allow her to complete her Jewish studies and conversion.  She converted to Judaism in July 2009.  They were married on October 25, 2009 in a Jewish wedding ceremony.  Today they have three children.

The Jewish people living in Israel call her Queen Esther who is recorded in history to have rescued the Jewish people from extermination while they were living in Persia after being exiled from their homeland which was conquered by the Babylonians.  Israel is threatened by Iran.  President Trump, the father of Ivanka whose Jewish name is Yael, cancelled the nuclear deal made by President Obama which Netanyahu proved to be a bad deal for Israel and America.  President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the consulate to Jerusalem.  He also supports annexation of the Golan Heights. Jared Kushner is working as a representative of the United States to bring peace to the Middle East and between Jews and Arabs in Israel.
