My history goes back to 1990 and I worked as a reporter, interviewer, news editor, copy editor, managing editor, newsletter founder, almanac profiler, and news radio broadcaster. Among the areas I covered includes federal government and postal employees, mortgage and banking industries, consumer credit, telemedicine, industrial development financing, workers' compensation, federal and state courts, legal issues, Congress, state and local government, politics, and self-publishing.
My undergraduate degree is in Humanities, my postgraduate is in Human Resources. After spending many years working in a number of different organizations, I decided to change my life's direction and fulfill two ambitions - before I was too old to enjoy them.
The first is to achieve a doctorate in Classical Studies and the second is to earn my living as a writer. It's early days yet but I am back studying the wonder that was the Roman Empire and have started to flesh out my first novel. In between I make ends meet as a freelance writer taking on strange and varied assignments.
Writing for Communalnews.com is an important step in my new journey. Not only do I receive support and feedback for my writing, but I also get to research and write about current news that I love. Hopefully, others too will find my news articles interesting and intriguing.
When I am not studying or writing, I love walking my dog, working with my horses and gardening.
