Bombshell – Japan has Enough Raw Materials to Built 6,000 Bombs – China Worried

  • The amount is enough to destroy a whole nation.
  • Lasy year, Japan started contemplating making nuclear weapons to protect itself from North Korean threats.
  • The new candidates in upcoming Japanese elections tend to agree Japan should be free to make their own nuclear weapon.

Chinese internet giant Sohu published information pertaining to Japan’s nuclear capabilities. Inc. (NASDAQ: SOHU) is China’s premier online brand and indispensable to the daily life of millions of Chinese, providing a network of web properties. All Chinese media is controlled by the Chinese government. According to the publication, Japan has enough nuclear fuel to make over 6,000 nuclear bombs. The amount is enough to destroy a whole nation.

Japan and China have always had tensions. The Second World War in China is one of the most horrible events in recent Chinese history. The conflict is known as the second Sino-Japanese War. In China it is known as the War of Resistance to Japan. The facts of the conflict start are disputed, but the conflict began with the invasion of Manchuria in 1931. From 1937 to 1945, China and Japan were fully at war.

Japan was finally defeated in 1945 but the Chinese suffered 15 million deaths and destruction of their agriculture. Overall devastation was felt by China with its infrastructure as well.  The two most recent disputes are a group  of tiny, disputed islands, called the Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. The Senkaku Islands dispute, or Diaoyu Islands dispute, concerns a territorial dispute over a group of uninhabited islands known as the Senkaku Islands in Japan, the Diaoyu Islands in the People’s Republic of China, and Tiaoyutai Islands in the Republic of China.

Japan developed close relations with the US during the 1950s and 1960s by supplying American wars in Korea and Vietnam.  Hence, the trade relationship has strengthened between the two nations. Japanese auto giants and consumer electronics flooded the American market and made Japan the second largest global economy. Due to China’s success in manufacturing it overtook Japan as the second largest global economy in 2010.

Japan does not produce nuclear weapons, but does have leading nuclear technologies. Nuclear technology development in Japan has been carried out based on the Atomic Energy Basic Act brought into effect in 1955. The objective of this Law was to secure energy resources for the future, to achieve the progress of science and technology and the promotion of industries by fostering the research, development and utilization of atomic energy and thereby to contribute to the welfare of mankind and to the elevation of the national living standard.

China’s concern is not without merit, since last year Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was contemplating having Japan build their own nuclear missiles to offset possible North Korean aggression. North Korean leader Kim John Un has been making nuclear threats for some time now. It is plausible due to Japan’s proximity to North Korea, it does have a valid fear of the threat becoming reality. US leaders have made statements about the ease with which Japan could make nuclear weapons.

This week, per the Japan Times, multiple leading politicians, including former Liberal Democratic Party Secretary-General and prime minister-hopeful Shigeru Ishiba, issued statements about Japan’s need to build nuclear weapons. These statements come on the heels of Pope Francis’ historic visit to Hiroshima and Nagasaki and his call for global nuclear disarmament.

In conclusion, Japan possibly building nuclear weapons in the near future, could have an impact on the global security arena.
