Ultra-Orthodox Jews Oppose Zionism – Here’s Why

Judaism is a religion of a nation which lived in the land of Israel in Biblical times.  The nation was conquered two times.  The first time it was conquered by the Babylonians who destroyed the first holy temple built by King Solomon. The second time it was conquered by Rome, the temple was destroyed, the Jews were exiled until today.

The religion Judaism today exists according to the Law of Moses which was the law of the nation of Israel during this period. Jews are commanded in the Law of Moses not to change the law or the religion.  The modern state of Israel is a democracy, which is against Judaism– the law of a theocracy with a King. The hope of the biblical nation of Israel when it was exiled was to return to the land of Israel and to establish the Kingship of King David the Messiah, “return us to you God in repentance, renew our days like the days of old.”  There is conflict between modern secular Jews living in Israel and the diaspora and Ultra-Orthodox based on their religious beliefs.

Israel News: Mysterious Bombing of Iranian Weapons Storage Depot in Iraq

The Golani Brigade, the pride of Israeli Defense Forces, foiled an attack at the Gaza border fence early this week. Four Palestinians armed with RPGs, assault rifles, and grenades attempted to breach the wall and infiltrate Israel.  They were shot dead and only one of the men was able to climb the fence and throw a grenade at the soldiers.  Two Israeli soldiers were slightly injured from shrapnel.  The body of the terrorist Abu Salah was taken by Israel. Abu Salah is a member of Hamas border patrol.

Serhat – Sing Na,Na (Song Review) – Secular and Religious Clash in Israel

The song Sing Na Na written and sung by Serhat of San Marino is inspiring.  He has added emotions and beauty to music.  In his music video which was introduced in Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest he combines music, dance, beauty, love, children, and with lyrics which open the heart and soul to life and joy. He offers a simple solution for all the problems of life to Say Na, Na Na, which means be like a child, a child of God a child of life.

The Eternal Nation – The Eternal Messiah – Peace

Menachem Begin visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe in Brooklyn New York on his way to Camp David to meet with President Carter and Anwar Sadat to make the peace treaty with Egypt where he returned to Egypt the Sinai Peninsula. His first words which he said to the Rebbe who he considered to be the leader of the Nation of Israel “Our nation the Biblical nation of the Jewish people is an eternal people, not like the Modern State of Israel.”  The modern state of Israel needs to make concessions in order to survive which means concessions to America and Egypt.

Anti-Zionism is Anti-Semitism? Discussion

The controversy over anti-semitism and anti-Zionism is connected to the opposition of Americans today to President Trump and the claims that President Trump is a racist. President Trump has accepted Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  President Trump supports the annexation of the Golan Heights by Israel. People of America are claiming that President Trump and his rhetoric causes violence like the two recent incidents in Dayton Ohio and El Paso Texas. During the Obama administration there were also incidents of domestic terrorism.

Israeli Military Responds to Threats – Country Readies for Elections in September

Three IDF soldiers were wounded this week when in the early morning a Hamas member from Gaza belonging to a force restraining border violence breached the security fence and opened fire on Israeli troops in the area. The Israel military shelled a Hamas outpost adjacent to the fence as a response. There was one incident this week of a fire balloon which caused a fire and damage in one of the southern settlements.

The Queen’s Guard – Remembering the Past

Remembering the Past sometimes is more important than anything else. History is being made everyday. Historians are guarding the past that it should never be forgotten. Look into the past to learn how to build the future. Wisdom is acquired through age. The young remember their ancestors to be for them an example and look into the future. The future is the unknown. The past is the known. The present is the reality. The name of God in the Torah is translated as past, present, and future in one word in one moment.

More Concerning anti-Israel Rhetoric from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Democratic-socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is no stranger to controversy, especially regarding her anti-Israel stances. She’s been criticized for supporting sanctions against Israel, aligning herself with Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, both of whom have been condemned for their anti-semantic comments, and most recently for her anti-Israel statements on the “Ebro in the Morning” talk show.

President Trump and the Wall – Revoke the 2nd Amendment – Stop Crime

The Supreme Court struck down a lower court ruling 5-4 against President Trump declaration of an emergency on the border of Mexico.  The ruling clears the way for Trump to redirect $2.5 billion from the Pentagon to build his long promised border wall. President Trump has faced opposition from Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer who have called the building of the wall a bluff and not a true solution at all. They claim that making the wall will not even dent crime in America.

A New Light Shines on Zion and the World

The Lubavitcher Rebbe of blessed memory emphasized in his life that the time of the Messiah has arrived.  The exile called Galut began at the time of the destruction of the holy temple. It was already beginning over four hundred years before when was destroyed the first temple.  The first temple was destroyed because of idolatry. The second temple because of hatred between Jewish brothers. The people of Israel that were dispersed carry with them the Torah with the instructions from Moses to be careful in your application of the law, to continue to teach the Torah, and make a fence around the Torah to protect its holiness. The People of Israel are the representatives of the Torah which is also called the Holy Bible.

Racism – Cities of Refuge as an Answer

Racism is a reality. It is here to stay.  The Bible has already given the answer to the problems created by racism and it is not capital punishment. “Then Moses set apart three cities on this side of the Jordan toward the sun rising; that the slayer might flee there, who should kill his neighbor unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live.” Three cities of refuge were set up by Moses with the permission to set up six more when the borders of Israel will grow.

Rabbi Isaac Luria – Master of the Kabballa

On the 5th of the Jewish month of Av which falls out this year on August 8, 2019 is celebrated the memorial date of the Kabballist from the city of Zefat in the Galilee.  People will come from all over the world to pray at his grave site in the Old Cemetary in Zefat on this day. Rabbi Yitchok Luria became famous even in the gentile world through the kabbala centers of Rabbi Philip Berg where in California the famous singer Madonna became interested in his teachings.

Palestinians Seeking Economic Independence From Israel

The American negotiator for peace in Middle East, Jared Kushner, continues to insist that an economic pathway is vital for Middle East peace. The Palestinians boycotted the conference but even Trump’s Arab allies saw the necessity of the two-state solution. Kushner was overwhelmed by the response he got. Every country that he invited showed up, and he had a very big crowd. There were a lot of senior business leaders from throughout the world.

What Matt Drudge Predicted is Now Becoming a Reality After 20 years

Matt Drudge gave a speech before the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in 1998. He was already deemed an internet leader in both news and aggregated news distribution. His Drudge Report challenged the ethos of the newspaper society, which was just the beginning of dynamic revolutionary change in the news world order. The Drudge Report made friends, added enemies, created new futures and helped forced everyone in the industry to change many times over in order just to stay relevant.

Iran Refuses to Negotiate Its Ballistic Missile Program

The Iranian mission to the United Nations, Ali Reza Mir Yusuf, said Tehran’s ballistic missile program is not negotiable. His remarks came after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke of the Iranians’ readiness to discuss their missile program.

US President Donald Trump also said progress has been made in an effort to reduce tensions with Iran. Relations between the two countries deteriorated dramatically after Trump withdrew last year from the nuclear deal with Iran and re-imposed sanctions on Tehran. In response, Iran began to breach some of the terms of the agreement.

The Chief Rabbi of Sfat Defends Rafi Peretz for His Opposition to Parts of the Gay Agenda

The LBGTQ community went out July 14 in protest against the statements of Rafi Peretz, the newly selected Minister of Education in the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. Minister Peretz, an Orthodox Jew, is firmly against Israel supporting surgeries for people to change their genders. As Minister of Education, Rafi Peretz feels it is important to provide therapy to those that are influenced to change their lives drastically and even to go through surgery to change their bodies to become transgender.

Right vs Left – Democracy in Israel is Tested Too

Democracy which is enjoyed by America, Israeli and the free world continually faces conflicts between the two sides left and right.  Democracy gives the right of both sides to interact peacefully but there is always conflicts over political control.  After President Trump won the election he revealed himself as a conservative Republican.  Republicans are generally more conservative than Democrats who are more liberal. Republicans can be conservative or liberal republican and democrats can be more or less liberal.

Egyptian Independence Days Celebrated in Israel – 1952 and 2013

Egypt celebrated Independence Day on July 11 the 66th year when Egypt became a republic. Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Riblin of Israel attended celebrations at the Egyptian embassy. Egypt is a peaceful neighbor of Israel since the peace treaty of 1979. Netanyahu spoke that they are working forward toward expanding the Gas line from Israel to Egypt and their commitments to prosperity security and peace in the Middle East.

Jews for Jews; Jews for Christians; Christians for Jews

The Jewish people and their leaders are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jesus the Messiah.  Christians are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jews. The event of crucifixion is recorded in history in the first century Judea between 30-33 AD. The crucifixion is recorded in New Testament epistles and other ancient sources as an historical event. The softening up of the heart of stone was part of the Jewish prophecy of Ezekiel, I will give to you a new heart and a new spirit, I will remove from you a heart of stone and give you a heart flesh.

From North Charlestown to Kiryat Atta – Anti-police Demonstrations in Israel Too

Israel is looking more like America each day.  Last week in Tel-Aviv 250,000 people marched in a parade for Gay Pride.  Abortion laws in Israel are similar to America. The two cultures are becoming one.  America and Donald Trump stand behind Israel in their cause of freedom and independence in a hostile environment of nations in the Middle East that seek to destroy them.  Israel has adopted the good of America that is democracy and human rights and the bad which is inner conflicts within the nations between minorities and law enforcement.

At G20 Summit Ivanka Trump and Mike Pompeo: “Beauty and the Beast”

As the US delegation was lining up for a photo with South Korean counterparts on the eve of his historic steps into North Korea, President Trump and President Moon Jae-in were in the center with his wife Kim Jung-sook.  In the back was Mike Pompeo and the next official in line was senior adviser Ivanka Trump Kushner. Mike Pompeo casually slipped into the photo. Ivanka took an unusual prominent role during her father’s trip to Asia.

Madonna Takes Strong Stand Against Gun Violence – The U.S. Can Learn from Israel

Madonna came out with a new video striking out against gun violence and in support for gun control.

Gun control is a controversial topic in American society.  The Second Amendment of the American Constitution reads:  A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Will a Cease Fire in Gaza Hold? Tensions Rising in the Middle East

After the disappointing two day Summit of Jared Kushner representing the U.S., the situation in the Middle East and in Israel continues to be on fire. The Palestinians from Gaza have continued to send fire balloons from their territory into southern Israel. More than a hundred of these balloons were recorded during the past week in an escalation of terror from the time of the Summit in Bahrain.

Is Trump Taking a Cue from Nixon on Foreign Policy? He Should

Last December President Trump announced that he will be withdrawing U.S. forces from Syria, although he later decided to leave 400 troops in Syria. This hopefully signifies a changing policy for the region. President Trump’s decision reminds me of a similar decision made 50 years ago in 1969. This decision was the beginning of the end of U.S. involvement in an unwinnable war that had been raging on for nearly 20 years. This decision was President Richard Nixon’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Vietnam. It is impossible not to draw a plethora of similarities between the Vietnam War and the current War on Terror.

Jared Kushner Presents Peace Plan: Between Israel and Gulf States Against Iran

If a real estate developer pitches a $50 billion timeshare presentation at a seminar in Bahrain, and nobody shows up to take it seriously, is it really a plan to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?  That’s the approximate weight given by most observers— those who bothered to observe— to the “deal of the century,” crafted by senior White House advisor Jared Kushner, who also happens to be President Trump’s son in law.  Kushner unveiled the economic portion of the plan at the “Peace and Prosperity” workshop in Bahrain on Tuesday.

Theocracy vs Democracy – A Test of Love and Respect

Most people are innocent witnesses of the conflicts in today’s life between democracy and theocracy.  In common folk language we are Jehovah witnesses seeing history revealed. Sunday morning in Brooklyn, we would wake up late and about noon time would come to our doors two very lovely ladies to give us some help.  They were carrying a Bible and some pamphlets which said on them “Jehovah Witnesses.”  We were not Orthodox Jewish but maintained in our house Jewish Tradition.  My mother was respectful to these missionaries.  Not interested was our answer and they tried to accept it.

Middle East Tensions – Did Lindsey Graham Admit that Israel Will Soon Attack Iran?

America is working to negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians.  There is resistance on both sides to the peace plan initiated by Jared Kushner representing President Trump, his father-in-law.

The first phase of the peace treaty involves a $50 billion investment in all interests surrounding Israel including Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon.  The idea is to create first an environment for peace between these nations before reaching a political solution.  The agreement will attempt to connect Gaza with the West Bank.  Israel is concerned about its tourist trade located in the city of Eilat which will be cut off from the rest of Israel through this thoroughfare.  This thoroughfare could also be used by terrorists from Arab Gihad to infiltrate Israel.

Trump Middle East Peace Plan Unveiled – The Sea of Galilee Waters of Peace

The economic portion of the Middle East peace plan has been unveiled by Jared Kushner the assistant to President Trump. It calls for an investment of $50 billion to lift up the economy of the Palestinian and neighboring countries.  It also entails $5 billion dollars transportation corridor between Gaza and the West Bank. It is called the Peace to Prosperity plan. The plan faces opposition on both sides by religious fundamentalists.

Unrest Around the World – A Country by Country Look

Today following the world news can be seen in a world at unrest.  In these countries especially is apparent World Unrest:

Khazakhstan – The world’s largest land locked country and the ninth largest in the world with an area of 2,724,900 square kilometers. It is a democratic secular republic with a diverse heritage. After the elections resulting in the overwhelming victory of interim president Toqaev began wave of protests against the lack of fairness in the elections.

Toronto Wins NBA Championship; Middle East Conflicts Continue

The Toronto Raptors have officially become champions in the NBA after defeating the Golden State Warriors in a very close game.  Kevin Lowry scored 26 points leading their team to a victory.  Kevin Lowry was singled out for his opposition to the Toronto Raptors fans cheering the injury to Kevin Durant.  The injury to Klay Thompson in the fourth quarter was the final clincher in the defeat of Golden State.  Clay Thompson we see was the difference between the two squads. Golden State without Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson already gave Toronto the edge eventually the championship.  The injury to Klay Thompson when he went up for the layup was for sure not intentional.  It was just an attempt to block his shot. The ballplayers showed proper sportsmanship during the game and afterwards.

Violence Escalates in Southern Israel – War Started Again

After a short period of peace enjoyed by Israeli and Palestinians living in Gaza the war has started up again. The Cease Fire took affect on May 6 after a two day war where 700 missiles were fired from Gaza to Israel mostly intercepted by the Israel Iron dome, but several missiles did succeed to do damage and kill or injure Israelis.

Israel retaliated, striking military and political targets in Gaza, killing 23 Palestinians and injuring others. Egypt and Qatar succeeded to bring the two sides to a cease fire.

Compare – Life & Death Fair Play in the Middle East vs games like Golden State vs Toronto

Kevin Durant suffered a right lower leg injury in Game 5 of the playoffs and could not make the first four games in the finals between Golden State and Toronto.  He appeared in game five and played spectacularly until the middle of the second quarter. He made his first three 3 point attempts, he blocked a shot, until he took a hard fall over Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka injuring his Achilles tendon.  The Raptor fans started cheering.  The players on Toronto especially Kyle Lowry took offense to his supporters from Toronto and objected to them cheering the injury of Kevin.  They knew that the Lord in heaven did not like this reaction to the injury of a vital player on their opponent Golden State.  Even though without Kevin Durant they had already defeated Golden State in three of the four first games of the finals, it is not good sportsmanship to applaud his injury. Also God took offense to the reactions of the crowd to teach them a lesson and Golden State defeated Toronto even without Kevin.

Loyalty, is it an Obligation? What about Loyalty to God?

Loyalty is defined as faithfulness to accept obligation. It has an important place in life.

Two people marry.  They should be loyal to each other. A person goes out to work and accepts a job.  His employer expects his worker to be loyal.  This means that his worker is required to do all of his appointed duties.  The employer designates to his worker what is his job.  He is not obligated to do the job which is appointed to another worker. If the employee will not perform the employer has the right to fire him.

Loving You is a Losing Game: A Song Review

Duncan Lawrence received the award for his song “Loving You is a Losing Game” at the Eurovision song contest in Jerusalem last month. Everyone wants love. Love is in our nature from birth.

The baby comes out of his mother’s womb and cries.  He cries for love. His mother embraces him and feeds him. Children need love throughout the childhood and adolescence. When they reach the age of 12 for a girl and 13 for a boy they need love which their mother can no longer give them. By some people this stage in life is called independence.  Others say that it is the trick of the devil.  The song of Duncan Lawrence “Loving you is a losing game” is teaching beware of love.

Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem

June 6 saw an organized Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem.

The Orthodox Rabbis of Israel have called for Jews to demonstrate against the Gay Parade.  Gay parades have become the custom almost throughout the whole world.  There was recently a Gay parade in Tel Aviv.  Homosexuality is not new. It always existed but was kept quiet and restricted to locations which were designated as places where Gays gathered such as Gay beaches, Gay clubs.  The Gay community respected and recognized that there was opposition to them and conducted their interaction in public places designated for them.
