The Jewish people and their leaders are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jesus the Messiah. Christians are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jews. The event of crucifixion is recorded in history in the first century Judea between 30-33 AD. The crucifixion is recorded in New Testament epistles and other ancient sources as an historical event. The softening up of the heart of stone was part of the Jewish prophecy of Ezekiel, I will give to you a new heart and a new spirit, I will remove from you a heart of stone and give you a heart flesh.
Israel is looking more like America each day. Last week in Tel-Aviv 250,000 people marched in a parade for Gay Pride. Abortion laws in Israel are similar to America. The two cultures are becoming one. America and Donald Trump stand behind Israel in their cause of freedom and independence in a hostile environment of nations in the Middle East that seek to destroy them. Israel has adopted the good of America that is democracy and human rights and the bad which is inner conflicts within the nations between minorities and law enforcement.
As the US delegation was lining up for a photo with South Korean counterparts on the eve of his historic steps into North Korea, President Trump and President Moon Jae-in were in the center with his wife Kim Jung-sook. In the back was Mike Pompeo and the next official in line was senior adviser Ivanka Trump Kushner. Mike Pompeo casually slipped into the photo. Ivanka took an unusual prominent role during her father’s trip to Asia.
Madonna came out with a new video striking out against gun violence and in support for gun control.
Gun control is a controversial topic in American society. The Second Amendment of the American Constitution reads: A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
After the disappointing two day Summit of Jared Kushner representing the U.S., the situation in the Middle East and in Israel continues to be on fire. The Palestinians from Gaza have continued to send fire balloons from their territory into southern Israel. More than a hundred of these balloons were recorded during the past week in an escalation of terror from the time of the Summit in Bahrain.
Last December President Trump announced that he will be withdrawing U.S. forces from Syria, although he later decided to leave 400 troops in Syria. This hopefully signifies a changing policy for the region. President Trump’s decision reminds me of a similar decision made 50 years ago in 1969. This decision was the beginning of the end of U.S. involvement in an unwinnable war that had been raging on for nearly 20 years. This decision was President Richard Nixon’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Vietnam. It is impossible not to draw a plethora of similarities between the Vietnam War and the current War on Terror.
If a real estate developer pitches a $50 billion timeshare presentation at a seminar in Bahrain, and nobody shows up to take it seriously, is it really a plan to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? That’s the approximate weight given by most observers— those who bothered to observe— to the “deal of the century,” crafted by senior White House advisor Jared Kushner, who also happens to be President Trump’s son in law. Kushner unveiled the economic portion of the plan at the “Peace and Prosperity” workshop in Bahrain on Tuesday.
Most people are innocent witnesses of the conflicts in today’s life between democracy and theocracy. In common folk language we are Jehovah witnesses seeing history revealed. Sunday morning in Brooklyn, we would wake up late and about noon time would come to our doors two very lovely ladies to give us some help. They were carrying a Bible and some pamphlets which said on them “Jehovah Witnesses.” We were not Orthodox Jewish but maintained in our house Jewish Tradition. My mother was respectful to these missionaries. Not interested was our answer and they tried to accept it.
America is working to negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians. There is resistance on both sides to the peace plan initiated by Jared Kushner representing President Trump, his father-in-law.
The first phase of the peace treaty involves a $50 billion investment in all interests surrounding Israel including Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon. The idea is to create first an environment for peace between these nations before reaching a political solution. The agreement will attempt to connect Gaza with the West Bank. Israel is concerned about its tourist trade located in the city of Eilat which will be cut off from the rest of Israel through this thoroughfare. This thoroughfare could also be used by terrorists from Arab Gihad to infiltrate Israel.
The economic portion of the Middle East peace plan has been unveiled by Jared Kushner the assistant to President Trump. It calls for an investment of $50 billion to lift up the economy of the Palestinian and neighboring countries. It also entails $5 billion dollars transportation corridor between Gaza and the West Bank. It is called the Peace to Prosperity plan. The plan faces opposition on both sides by religious fundamentalists.
Today following the world news can be seen in a world at unrest. In these countries especially is apparent World Unrest:
Khazakhstan – The world’s largest land locked country and the ninth largest in the world with an area of 2,724,900 square kilometers. It is a democratic secular republic with a diverse heritage. After the elections resulting in the overwhelming victory of interim president Toqaev began wave of protests against the lack of fairness in the elections.
The Toronto Raptors have officially become champions in the NBA after defeating the Golden State Warriors in a very close game. Kevin Lowry scored 26 points leading their team to a victory. Kevin Lowry was singled out for his opposition to the Toronto Raptors fans cheering the injury to Kevin Durant. The injury to Klay Thompson in the fourth quarter was the final clincher in the defeat of Golden State. Clay Thompson we see was the difference between the two squads. Golden State without Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson already gave Toronto the edge eventually the championship. The injury to Klay Thompson when he went up for the layup was for sure not intentional. It was just an attempt to block his shot. The ballplayers showed proper sportsmanship during the game and afterwards.
After a short period of peace enjoyed by Israeli and Palestinians living in Gaza the war has started up again. The Cease Fire took affect on May 6 after a two day war where 700 missiles were fired from Gaza to Israel mostly intercepted by the Israel Iron dome, but several missiles did succeed to do damage and kill or injure Israelis.
Israel retaliated, striking military and political targets in Gaza, killing 23 Palestinians and injuring others. Egypt and Qatar succeeded to bring the two sides to a cease fire.
Kevin Durant suffered a right lower leg injury in Game 5 of the playoffs and could not make the first four games in the finals between Golden State and Toronto. He appeared in game five and played spectacularly until the middle of the second quarter. He made his first three 3 point attempts, he blocked a shot, until he took a hard fall over Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka injuring his Achilles tendon. The Raptor fans started cheering. The players on Toronto especially Kyle Lowry took offense to his supporters from Toronto and objected to them cheering the injury of Kevin. They knew that the Lord in heaven did not like this reaction to the injury of a vital player on their opponent Golden State. Even though without Kevin Durant they had already defeated Golden State in three of the four first games of the finals, it is not good sportsmanship to applaud his injury. Also God took offense to the reactions of the crowd to teach them a lesson and Golden State defeated Toronto even without Kevin.
Loyalty is defined as faithfulness to accept obligation. It has an important place in life.
Two people marry. They should be loyal to each other. A person goes out to work and accepts a job. His employer expects his worker to be loyal. This means that his worker is required to do all of his appointed duties. The employer designates to his worker what is his job. He is not obligated to do the job which is appointed to another worker. If the employee will not perform the employer has the right to fire him.
Duncan Lawrence received the award for his song “Loving You is a Losing Game” at the Eurovision song contest in Jerusalem last month. Everyone wants love. Love is in our nature from birth.
The baby comes out of his mother’s womb and cries. He cries for love. His mother embraces him and feeds him. Children need love throughout the childhood and adolescence. When they reach the age of 12 for a girl and 13 for a boy they need love which their mother can no longer give them. By some people this stage in life is called independence. Others say that it is the trick of the devil. The song of Duncan Lawrence “Loving you is a losing game” is teaching beware of love.
June 6 saw an organized Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem.
The Orthodox Rabbis of Israel have called for Jews to demonstrate against the Gay Parade. Gay parades have become the custom almost throughout the whole world. There was recently a Gay parade in Tel Aviv. Homosexuality is not new. It always existed but was kept quiet and restricted to locations which were designated as places where Gays gathered such as Gay beaches, Gay clubs. The Gay community respected and recognized that there was opposition to them and conducted their interaction in public places designated for them.
President Trump was very happy that Netanyahu succeeded to win the elections but is disgusted with Israel that they have not given him their support to form a new government. President Trump before elections gave support to Netanyahu that Israel needed to be a strong nation with a strong leader who is Netanyahu.
Wither the 21st Knesset. We hardly knew ye. Just six weeks after it had appeared Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had won Israel’s legislative election, and secured a record fifth term in office, Israeli voters are being asked to try again. For the first time in the history of the State of Israel, no government was formed by the incumbent Prime Minister, and no one else was allowed to try, following a general election. Israel’s first electoral mulligan will take place on September 17.
On Sunday June 2, 2019 will be celebrated Jerusalem Day commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in the aftermath of the six day war in 1967.
In 1947 in the United Nations was proposed the establishment of two states in the British Mandate of Palestine, a Jewish State and an Arab State. Jerusalem was to be an International city neither Jewish nor Arab for a period of ten years when referendum would be made for the residents of Jerusalem to decide on which country to join. The Jewish leadership accepted the plan and the Arabs rejected the proposal.
Israel will be going to election again in September after failing to make a government with a majority. National security needs national unity and Israel failed to make a coalition government. The government was split after elections between Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Ganz both received an equal amount of votes.
To make the government all on the side of Likud (the right side) Netanyahu needed the help of the other parties which had received mandates. On the right there was a conflict between the religious ultra-orthodox right and the secular right.
Rabbi Nachman of Breslov writes in his most foremost work Likutei Maharon, “Each and every righteous saint is in the likeness of the Messiah.”
The Messiah of Freedom, the Messiah of Song, the Messiah of Peace are all from the same source. They are all one and connected to God. The Messiah is by definition a man, a human being. Like all people he comes into the world which is temporary with two maternal parents. The life of the Messiah is temporary seventy years, until 120 years according to the wishes of God.
As I was reading an article by a man whose first name was Collin and last name was smudged too much to see, I became interested in what he was writing about. He was writing about the truth of Peace and the truth of Wrath. I remember reading about the wrath of God that will come somewhere in the future in my Bible studies.
Sing to God a new song, sing to God the whole earth (Psalms 97:1)
Israel this year has hosted Eurovision which is the world’s most foremost alliance of public service media representing 117 member organizations in 56 countries and an additional 34 Associates in Africa, Asia, Australia and the Americas. There is beauty in song. There is freedom in song.
Song without lyrics is universal. When we add to song lyrics is made its connection to intellect; but song is from the heart. On Mount Sinai God spoke to the Jewish people and gave to them the Torah.
The 64th song festival took place last week in Tel Aviv Israel. Eurovision is organized by the European Broadcasting Union, the world’s most foremost alliance of public service media representing 117 member organizations in 56 countries and an additional 34 Associates in Africa, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
Forty one countries took part in the contest. The winner was the Netherlands with song Arcade performed and written by Duncan Lawrence. Last year Israel won the contest and was chosen to be host for this year.
Most of the problems of the world can be solved through compromise. Compromise is not simple.
Compromise begins with two sides in conflict. National compromise requires the guarantee of two nations which are in conflict to insure their security. In the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians each side must first be required to guarantee the other side’s security. To accomplish this task of peace in Israel requires two sides which are strongly united to become two nations separate and united. To make peace between two nations you first need national unity.
Madonna arrived in Israel early this week to perform at the Eurovision Festival in Tel Aviv. After two back to back concerts, she wrapped her tour with a visit Thursday night to Safed tomb of the holy saint the Arizal. Many years ago she became interested in Kabbalah Jewish mysticism.
The Arizal Rabbi Isaac Luria lived in the city of Safed in the 1500s where he became famous as a teacher of Jewish Mysticism. Safed is located near the village of Meron where is buried Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai the author of the Zohar. The Zohar was discovered in Spain in the 13th Century and dates back to the period in Jewish history shortly after the destruction of the second temple in Jerusalem about 70 CE.
When the officials in Iran were interviewed recently they were asked: Why do you want to destroy Israel? Iran continuously publically states there intention to destroy Israel and wipe Israel off the face of the map. This is also the wish of Hamas and Jihad in the Gaza Strip. This official in Iran answered to this question, “Israel is an apartheid state. We were also against the apartheid state in South Africa.
Apartheid began in South Africa in 1948 when the National Party was elected in office. The National Party government classified all South African people into three races and developed rights and limitations for each.
The east and west conferences of the NBA have reached the playoffs. The NBA finals will begin May 30. In the meantime from the West conference will be decided who will reach the finals between Golden State and Portland. From the East conference the conference finals are between Milwaukee and Toronto.
There is glory, fame and money at stake. Each team in both conferences has invested in their success. There is one winner in each conference and one winner in the NBA Finals. Then will be chosen the MVP of the year.
The world is in turmoil. The threat of war is becoming real. Tensions in Venezuela between Madura and Guerra have created tension between United States and Russia two of the greatest nuclear powers in the world. North Korea refuses to subdue before USA and continues to develop its nuclear capacity. Tensions in the Middle East are rising over oil interests in Libya. Saudi is applying pressure on the government of Libya in the same way it is pressuring the world accepted government in Yemen. Sanctions on Iran from America have made tensions between China a nuclear power who depends on Iran for oil and America. Iran is also protected by Russia one of the clients of Iran oil. Russia is also behind the ruling government in Libya.
The world was created in six days and on the seventh day God rested. The seventh day God sanctified and blessed. The seventh day is the beginning of the next week which begins with Sunday. The seventh day is the end of the week and continues forever without end. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The direction of heaven is upward; the direction of earth gravity is downward. Through the Sabbath heaven and earth become connected the unity described in the Zohar the book of Splendor, One with One, God is One and his name is One.
Universal faith means that religions of the world were revealed in order of progressive revelation. This means that God sent each religious founder prophet to progressively advance religious teachings. The Bha”i faith in Haifa is a Universal faith. Unlike other universal religions, the Bha”i writings do not state that the human race is a whole but celebrates the variety of religions and the differences among peoples. The Bha”i faith was founded in the mid-nineteenth century by Bahuulah who claimed to be a prophet. He was persecuted and spent over a decade in prison in Ottoman Palestine.
The trip to Israel is called by many people Pilgrimage. Israel and Jerusalem are connected to Judaism, Christianity and Islam. There are many things to do before Pilgrimage spiritual preparations for the journey. After making these preparation, while making these preparations the time may come to book a ticket with a specific route.
There is a goal in Judaism to rebuild the holy temple in Jerusalem. What remains from the Holy Temple is just a wall called the Wailing Wall and in the back of this wall is a mosque where is claimed to be the rock of foundation of the temple and the place of ascension of Mohammed.
A recent article about iconoclasm and the power of religious objects got me thinking about Kashmir. In the world today there are two sides in conflict claiming that the other side is idolatry. These two sides are from the side of the Abrahamic religion and the side of Christianity and Hinduism. In the middle of this conflict are innocent human beings who become the victims of terrorism.
In Kashmir there is a long time dispute both political, ethnic and religious between Pakistan Muslims and India Hindus. Muslim religion prohibits building any statues of deities. In Muslim temples there are also no forms or images. The Koran is very strict to prohibit connecting to anything but an empty formless space who is Allah hidden and revered.
Another flare up between Israel and Hamas began unexpectedly over the weekend. While Jews in the south were praying in the Synagogue on Saturday morning (the day of the Sabbath) suddenly there were sirens. The people interrupted their prayers and ran into bomb shelters. Officially another battle began between Israel and Gaza. The war continued until 4:30 on Monday morning.
Nearly 700 rockets were fired from Gaza and four Israelis were killed. Most of the missiles aimed at Israel population centers were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. Very few made clean hits into Israeli populated areas in the south including Beer Sheva, Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Sederot, Nitivot, Ofakim and Israel settlements in the south.
Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel is celebrated a week before Israel Independence Day. This year it falls out on Thursday, May 2. Every Human being suffered from the wrath of Hitler. Six million Jews were killed in concentration camps in Europe and over forty million people died in World War II.
In and around 1941 Hitler officially declared his desire to exterminate all the Jews. He already had this plan many years before.
Christendom, Islam, Zionism are three parts of Religious nationalism which can only be received together in peace through freedom of religion which doesn’t accept violent acts of religious terrorism. Freedom and justice can tolerate hatred when it is confined in the four walls of religion but not when it goes outside. The humanitarian will not accept violence in the name of God. The humanitarian believes in freedom. He also believes in peace. God cannot tolerate building a Golden Calf desiring only for material pleasures or a Tower of Babel nationalism without religion like the Las Vegas and the California discotheque shootings.
About at the same time when is being celebrated the holiday of Passover, Christians are celebrating the Easter festival. Passover is the time when the Jewish people exited the land of Egypt where they had been slaves for 210 years. The redemption of the Jewish people from Egypt began when Moses while doing his work as a shepherd witnessed a bush which was burning with a fire which would not extinquish called in Genesis 2:4 “the burning bush.”
Two Jewish woman both millionaires and billionaires have donated 122 million Euro for the restoration of Notre Dame.
One is the widow of the Sephardic banker Safra bank of Geneve and Brazil. Her husband Edmond Safra was killed in a strange fire in their home in Monaco in 1999. She has pledged 20 million from her estate. The other Jewish woman is the wife of the billionaire Morris Betanker from the cosmetic company Loriel. Forbes estimates their estate to be as much as $50 billion.
- In much-anticipated elections last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a giant step toward an unprecedented fifth term in office. The results were rather anticlimactic: parties which made up the last government lost only one seat on Tuesday. Netanyahu’s Likud Party topped the polls, with 36 seats, and is well positioned to form an identical right-wing government.
Lindsey Graham Senator of South Carolina should be praised for his efforts to institute new legislation for limiting abortion to the fifth month. In 1973 the Supreme Court issued a decision to decriminalize abortion. Since then, March for Life has been working to end abortion by uniting, educating, and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.
President Trump in his speech to the Jewish Republican coalition showed his faithfulness to the State of Israel and the Jewish people. He has already declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel; and has supported the annexation of the Golan. He has also cancelled the Nuclear weapons agreement with Iran. In his speech to the Jewish Coalition of the Republican Party he promised to continue to support the Jewish people against Anti-Semitism.
The Hebrew Alphabet is filled with ancient secrets. In the second letter of the Hebrew Alphabet the letter ב Beit is the secret of peace and unity. This secret is in the form of the letter ב Beit.
The form of the letter ב Beit is above a roof and below a line or floor in the middle is a vertical line which connects the roof of the letter with its base. The letter Beit ב is the first letter in the Torah the Bible, Genesis of the five books of Moses. The letter Beit ב is numerically equal to 2.
- Israelis go to the polls Tuesday, in Knesset elections largely seen as a referendum on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The elections take place under a cloud of possible indictments against the Prime Minister for corruption. A victory would extend Netanyahu’s decade-long reign, and allow him to become the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister this summer.
Right now, it should belong to Israel, because Israel is strong enough to hold it. Or to anyone strong enough to take it away. The Golan, or the Golan Heights as it is more commonly referred to, has been a land of war for countless centuries.
In order to fully understand who should have full administration over the Golan, we must take into account the full history of the region, and weigh any possible dangers to the parties concerned. And we must also ascertain the fact that war has it’s gains and losses. In doing so, we must research the oldest known text on the matter, and to my knowledge, the Holy Bible is the most authorative text. Not the Quran.
- The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces declared victory over the so-called Islamic State on Saturday, and the complete liberation of its territory. The battle for Baghouz, all that remained of Daesh’s once vast territory throughout Iraq and Syria, dragged on for more than ten weeks.
- New Zealand is still picking up the pieces after at least 50 people were killed, and another 50 were injured, in Friday’s terror attack, the worst in the country’s history. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern spent the weekend visiting grieving family members and the Muslim community. The attacks, on two mosques in Christchurch, have also prompted a debate over gun laws. The Police Association has called for a ban on semi-automatic weapons, and the Prime Minister has pledged, “our gun laws will change.”
- FINLAND: The center-right government unexpectedly fell Friday, ahead of planned elections on April 14. The trigger was Prime Minister Juha Sipila’s failure to pass social and health care reforms. Sipila’s Center Party has trailed the Social Democrats in opinion polls since last May.
- The House of Representatives voted to condemn “anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism and other forms of bigotry” Thursday, in the wake of controversial remarks by freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). The vote was 407-23.
Anti-Semitism and other types of hatred between good people are avoidable through understanding their source. Rabbi Scheur Zalman of Liadi also called the Alter Rebbe who lived in the Russian Empire about two hundred and fifty years ago established a new approach in Judaism called Chabad related to the Lubavitcher Chassidic movement. Chabad is short for wisdom, understanding and knowledge.
