Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to help India fight the Coronavirus. He has spoken of helping under the “Ehsaas Program” of Pakistan for Indian families affected by the lockdown. Prime Minister Khan tweeted that “Pakistan is ready to launch its ‘Ehsaas Program’ to help families in India who have been financially affected by the lockdown.”
India imposed a strict lockdown in late March to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The lockdown has affected a large number of people in India. According to a report by two US universities and a Mumbai-based institute, the lockdown will reduce the income of 84 percent of households, and 34 percent of households cannot run on their own in Gujarat for more than a week without assistance.
