With the figures, Mexico remains 11th in the world in terms of most cases and fourth in deaths, according to the independent count by Johns Hopkins University in the United States.

Russia Sets New Death Record

Russia on Wednesday registered a new record in the number of deaths caused by COVID-19. In the last 24 hours, 507 people died of the disease. In total, the country accounts for 37,538 deaths.

The figures lead the Kremlin to recognize that there is enormous pressure on health services, yet it continues to exclude the possibility of a new lockdown at the national level. With regard to the number of those infected, 23,675 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded this Wednesday, for a total of 2,162,503 infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

In Moscow, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, there are 4,685 cases and 75 deaths. In St. Petersburg, there were 3,421 new cases were reported, the highest figure in the country’s second city.

Russia has a total of 2.16 million cases of infection by the coronavirus. Of these, 1.7 million patients have recovered from the disease.

On Tuesday, the government admitted that the situation “is complicated” because in 32 of the country’s 85 regions, the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants is higher than the national average. In six regions, hospital occupation exceeded 90%.

The Russian Executive has so far avoided implementing new restrictions at the national level, as happened in the first wave of the pandemic. That’s leaving the regions with the choice to decide new measures.

The Situation in India

COVID-19 is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.

News reporting is my thing. My view of what is happening in our world is colored by my love of history and how the past influences events taking place in the present time.  I like reading politics and writing articles. It was said by Geoffrey C. Ward, "Journalism is merely history's first draft." Everyone who writes about what is happening today is indeed, writing a small part of our history.
