Israel will produce a vaccine in a few weeks for the new coronavirus. Once the vaccine is developed it will take at least 90 days to complete the regulatory process and potentially more to enter the marketplace. This is according to the Science and Technology Minister, Ofir Akunis, who congratulated the Galilee Research Institute (MIGAL) in a release.
“Congratulations to MIGAL on this exciting breakthrough,” Akunis said. “I am confident there will be further rapid progress, enabling us to provide a needed response to the grave global COVID-19 threat.” For the past few years, a team of MIGAL scientists have been developing a vaccine against infectious bronchitis virus, which causes bronchial disease in chickens. Coincidentally, but by no accident, they chose to do research to develop the technology, and not specifically a vaccine, for this kind of virus.
How they became aware of this type of virus and its dangers is unknown. Again, it may have just been by coincidence, however some Israelis believe they were tipped off by the Israeli secret service about biological weapon developments using this type of virus. It is well known that the major world powers develop these weapons of mass destruction to be used in defense. There is also a virology laboratory, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, at the epicenter of this new coronavirus.
Accidents will happen, and part of the work of modern science is to prepare for the worst even before it may be necessary. The effectiveness of the vaccine has already been proven in pre-clinical trials carried out at the Veterinary Institute. Just like Israel developed the Iron Dome System, whose research began way before the threat of missiles in quantity over all of Israel had developed, so they are also preparing for the threat of biological warfare. This technology is not only for the use of Israel but for the whole world. Israel is one of the leaders of the world in technology.
When this vaccine comes to the market to quiet the panic created from the coronavirus pandemic, most of the world will salute the State of Israel for its achievement. There are still parts of the world and factions within the world which preach anti-semitism and anti-zionism. These extremists will be disappointed that the coronavirus crisis was nipped in the bud, since they pray and wait for the destruction of all wickedness; but the Almighty God is known to be slow to anger and forgiving.
These extremists will not give up like ISIS until they have taken control over the world and initiated their law in the world, to uproot freedom and democracy, which allows mankind to transgress on the word of God. On the other hand, there are believers in God that want each person to choose between right and wrong without being forced by disease and other types of suffering.
There is no man that is free of sin. God controls the whole world through divine providence. God wants mankind to choose with their own free will to accept his law and not by force. Diseases like coronavirus are only a way he suggests his will and desire for mankind to repent and live righteously.
There are other companies throughout the world that are also active in developing medicines and vaccines for coronavirus. Moderna, a Cambridge, Massachusetts drug discovery company, gave the first dose of coronavirus vaccine to their first participant on March 16. The company admits that it is still early in its history. CanSino biologics, located in China, began phase one of a clinical vaccine. BioNTech, located in Germany, signed a letter last week to co-develop and distribute an mRNA based vaccine against the coronavirus.
