- Rudy Giuliani has said that he will release damning files on the Bidens if he disappears.
- He has also explained his insurance policy claim.
- One of his associates, Lev Parnas, wants to testify against Trump.
Rudy Giuliani has declared that he will release top secret files on the Bidens if he disappears. The former New York mayor is currently being investigated for his involvement in the Ukraine scandal that led to the Trump impeachment inquiry.
Giuliani posted the message on Twitter while elaborating his past “insurance policy” reference, which he emphasized was a damning top-secret trove of files that he has on Joe Biden and his son. Rudy has, in the past, alluded to having an insurance policy just in case he is thrown under the bus for his Biden investigations. The statement spawned speculation that he had dirt on the president, which would be made public if he’s betrayed. His post on Twitter explaining the allusion reads as follows.
“The statement I’ve made several times of having an insurance policy, if thrown under bus, is sarcastic & relates to the files in my safe about the Biden Family’s 4 decade monetizing of his office.
If I disappear, it will appear immediately along with my RICO chart.”
RICO refers to the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, which is used in cases involving organized crime. Rudy has already dismissed claims that the president is going to turn on him.
The president’s personal attorney has been involved in the Ukraine interference probe as his point-man. According to a recently released NBC report, Rudy had in July reached out to Vitaly Pruss, a Ukrainian businessman who is based in New York to connect him with Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma, the company which had Hunter Biden as one of its board members. The objective of the meeting was to talk about the Bidens. According to Pruss, Zlochevsky declined to meet him.
Recently, two Ukrainian associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were arrested for conspiracy, making false claims, and falsifying documents. The two are accused of playing a pivotal role in the Biden investigations carried out by Giuliani. They are also charged with trying to illegally funnel funds into U.S. elections. Although Parnas and Fruman initially vowed to stonewall investigators after being subpoenaed, the former recently had a change of heart after Trump publicly proclaimed that has never met him.
Parnas has subsequently fired John Dowd as his attorney and hired Joseph Bondy in his place. Dowd has previously worked as Trump’s attorney. Parnas wants to reveal evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing. Speaking to The Daily Beast, Andriy Yermak, a top Ukrainian official recently revealed that he, Parnas, and Giuliani had once met in Madrid to iron out matters concerning an announcement to investigate the Bidens.
Rudy, who was acting as Trump’s representative, apparently put pressure on the Ukrainian administration to announce the official start of investigations against the Bidens.
