The Amnnews site and channel, the founder of which was executed, Rohullah Zam, became famous for publishing certain news items that seemed to have been transmitted by influential people within the government. Some of this news was later confirmed by the official media or the Iranian authorities, and some denied.
One of the main issues of concern to Iranian security officials was the high penetration rate of Telegram Amnnews during the January 2017 demonstrations, which gradually increased the group’s audience to more than one million.
Some of the news on this channel, including the issue of Mirtaher, the replacement of Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, was not an issue for which there was any evidence to confirm it.
Some believed that Ruhollah Zam spread the news knowing that he was wrong for psychological warfare. And some have argued that security agencies provide information to the channel for any motive, in order to achieve its goals and invalidate it. The news also left Zam practically alone among political activists in France.
Meanwhile, relatives of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Hassan Rouhani, as well as relatives of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, were accused of providing information to Ruhollah Zam. Hassan Abbasi, a controversial conservative speaker Mahmoud Alavi, the Minister of Information to support Mdnyvz accused the charges leading to prison sentences for him.
Amad News published material and a video in which Judge Abolghasem Salavati, a judge of the Revolutionary Court, was accused of moral corruption. The person who eventually became the judge hearing the case. And it made lawyers question the extent to which his death sentence was based on personal grudge.
This report is about the list of some controversial news of Amnnews, which was reflected in other media some time later and caused the officials of the Islamic Republic to react.
