  • The mechanism will include the modular cluster unit of the unguided aircraft missiles (NAR) B 8V 10U V.
  • this year, Russian defense forces are receiving more than 2,500 units of the new equipment.
  • The Russian army is working on the possibility of transferring the BTR and BMP fleet to a new caliber.

The Zaslon Scientific and Technical Center plans to equip Mi-28NM helicopters with a mechanism for launching mini-drones. The mechanism will include the modular cluster unit of the unguided aircraft missiles (NAR) B 8V 10U V. The main difference from the currently-used weapons is the ability to adapt the number of guides for missiles for each task.

Sergey Shoygu is a Russian politician and General of the Army who has served as Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation and as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS since 2012.

Another is the ability to adapt equipment for programming weapons. The built-in equipment will transmit information from the helicopter’s weapon control system to the payload, whether it is guided missiles, guided missiles or mini-drones.

Initially, the modular unit was developed for the updated “Night Hunters,” and all Russian combat helicopters with a weapon control system will be able to use it. With a simple operation, you can reprogram the MSA of these machines, and they will learn to use this unit not only for ordinary Bunks, but also for smart ammunition.

Furthermore, this year, Russian defense forces are receiving more than 2,500 units of the new equipment. Tank formations will receive T-27B3M and T-80BVM tanks, and motorized infantry units will expand the fleet of BMP-3 and BTR-82A. In addition, the purchase of Tornado-S multiple Launch rocket systems and the latest Verba MANPADS will continue.

The Chrysanthemum system can work in extreme water conditions, due to being equipped with the two guidance systems. Thus, being able to fire simultaneously at two targets. The 9M123 Chrysanthemum-SP supersonic missile is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 6 kilometers.

The cumulative warhead of the missile contains 12 lb of explosives, which allows you to hit up to 1,100 mm of homogeneous armor behind dynamic protection. In other words, booking existing tanks does not provide protection from the Chrysanthemum.

Moreover, the Russian army is working on the possibility of transferring the BTR and BMP fleet to a new caliber. That would mean the expansion of the caliber from the 30 mm o 57 mm. There is also expected to develop new equipment pertaining to uniforms.

One of the promising uniforms of the future is Centurion. The exoskeleton also allows you to carry equipment weighing up to 60 kilograms. Another feature of the exoskeleton is the ability to block joints.

This will allow you to stay in the same position for a long time without overexerting the body, which is especially important for snipers. One of the testing phases of this equipment was done at the end of the last month.

Also, the developers of this system achieved a reduction in the load on the musculoskeletal system, thanks to lever-hinge elements that duplicate human joints. An additional advantage of the passive exoskeleton is reliability, and there is no need for batteries.

The exoskeleton does not have servos and electronic elements. The uniforms with such costumes are expelled to integrate  composite protection, miniature UAVs, and solutions to reduce the load on fighters. It is expected this suit will be given to soldiers in 2025.

There are a lot of new innovations and modernization happening in Russia pertaining to its defense equipment.
