Tens of millions of dollars worth of property once owned by the Islamic Republic of Iran was sold in Canada by court order and given to families of victims of terrorist attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah, groups backed by Iran. One building in Ottawa sold for $26.5 million.
Early this week in the vicinity of the entrance to the temple mount two terrorists attacked and stabbed a policeman on duty. The two terrorists were detected by the police patrolling nearby who shot one dead and the other was wounded. The entrance to the Temple Mount was closed to all Muslims Arabs under the age of 50.
The Golani Brigade, the pride of Israeli Defense Forces, foiled an attack at the Gaza border fence early this week. Four Palestinians armed with RPGs, assault rifles, and grenades attempted to breach the wall and infiltrate Israel. They were shot dead and only one of the men was able to climb the fence and throw a grenade at the soldiers. Two Israeli soldiers were slightly injured from shrapnel. Kevin Durant suffered a right lower leg injury in Game 5 of the playoffs and could not make the first four games in the finals between Golden State and Toronto. He appeared in game five and played spectacularly until the middle of the second quarter. He made his first three 3 point attempts, he blocked a shot, until he took a hard fall over Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka injuring his Achilles tendon. The Raptor fans started cheering. The players on Toronto especially Kyle Lowry took offense to his supporters from Toronto and objected to them cheering the injury of Kevin. They knew that the Lord in heaven did not like this reaction to the injury of a vital player on their opponent Golden State. Even though without Kevin Durant they had already defeated Golden State in three of the four first games of the finals, it is not good sportsmanship to applaud his injury. Also God took offense to the reactions of the crowd to teach them a lesson and Golden State defeated Toronto even without Kevin.
Another flare up between Israel and Hamas began unexpectedly over the weekend. While Jews in the south were praying in the Synagogue on Saturday morning (the day of the Sabbath) suddenly there were sirens. The people interrupted their prayers and ran into bomb shelters. Officially another battle began between Israel and Gaza. The war continued until 4:30 on Monday morning.
Nearly 700 rockets were fired from Gaza and four Israelis were killed. Most of the missiles aimed at Israel population centers were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. Very few made clean hits into Israeli populated areas in the south including Beer Sheva, Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Sederot, Nitivot, Ofakim and Israel settlements in the south.
