Ultra-Orthodox Jews Oppose Zionism – Here’s Why

Judaism is a religion of a nation which lived in the land of Israel in Biblical times.  The nation was conquered two times.  The first time it was conquered by the Babylonians who destroyed the first holy temple built by King Solomon. The second time it was conquered by Rome, the temple was destroyed, the Jews were exiled until today.

The religion Judaism today exists according to the Law of Moses which was the law of the nation of Israel during this period. Jews are commanded in the Law of Moses not to change the law or the religion.  The modern state of Israel is a democracy, which is against Judaism– the law of a theocracy with a King. The hope of the biblical nation of Israel when it was exiled was to return to the land of Israel and to establish the Kingship of King David the Messiah, “return us to you God in repentance, renew our days like the days of old.”  There is conflict between modern secular Jews living in Israel and the diaspora and Ultra-Orthodox based on their religious beliefs.

Jesus Was Not a Christian – Book Review

There is a book on the market available through the internet written by a former minister “Jesus was not a Christian.”  Without reading the book the title and introduction hits my heart because it is true.  Most people accept religion as truth.  There is truth which is hidden by religions.

Judaism does not emphasize truth.  Most important in Judaism is accepting the law given by Moses to the Jewish people.  The Law of Moses is divided into two parts the Oral law and the written law.

Jews for Jews; Jews for Christians; Christians for Jews

The Jewish people and their leaders are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jesus the Messiah.  Christians are beginning to soften up about their feeling about Jews. The event of crucifixion is recorded in history in the first century Judea between 30-33 AD. The crucifixion is recorded in New Testament epistles and other ancient sources as an historical event. The softening up of the heart of stone was part of the Jewish prophecy of Ezekiel, I will give to you a new heart and a new spirit, I will remove from you a heart of stone and give you a heart flesh.

Relativism vs. Universality – Pope Benedict vs. Pope Francis

Relativism is the belief that there is no absolute truth, meaning that there is no absolute perfection in the universe.  Universality is the belief that there are universal facts which can be discovered through searching for truth.

These two philosophies interplay in Christianity and in Judaism.  Pope Benedict XVI who resigned in 2013 was known to be a Relativist.  Pope Francis who took his position has shown that he is a Universalist through his more liberal tendencies.  Pope Benedict became a priest in 1951 and in the beginning his beliefs were considered liberal.  He adopted conservative views after 1968.  In 2005 he became Pope.

Preparing for Doomsday with Spiritual Healing

Preparing for Doomsday through Spiritual Healing

Living in the twentieth century after the Second World War there is nobody that can avoid the thought of a third World War which will be much worse than mankind has ever seen in the past.  The third World war will be a nuclear war.  The world has become smaller through technology.  People can communicate through internet and share their ideas from one end of the world to the other.  At the same time technology has brought to the world the dangers of weapons of mass destruction.  Doomsday is in the back of every person’s mind.  Everyone knows that it is inevitable but it is the work of all of mankind to postpone the date of destruction if possible forever. Through cooperation between nations the date of doomsday can be delayed.  At the same time the world is faced with Global warming.  The earth is aging like human beings.  The life expectancy of people has grown but at the same time each person has his day of death in the future.  The earth also has it limits as population growth creates pollution of the waters of the earth, air pollution, natural catastrophes like fires in California and Europe and hurricanes which are only signs of the future.
