World Economies Reopening Post Coronavirus – What It Means for Everyone in the Near Future

Currently there are over 3 million cases of coronavirus and over 211,000 dead around the globe. In the US there are over 1 million cases of the infected documented at present. Many nations are starting to reopen, including Italy. In the US some of the first states to reopen are Oklahoma and Georgia. However, many other states plan to open soon too, but with restrictions. US, Iran and the Geopolitical Future of the Middle East

2020 started with mass casualties of innocent lives. Iran shot down a Boeing airplane operated by Ukrainian airlines, resulting in the loss of human lives.  The attack happened after the US successfully executed (via drone strike) Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in Iraq. It is plausible to believe Iran was trying to murder the Iranian-Canadians on the plane, considering them traitors for leaving the regime.

Trump Defends His Decision to Pull Troops Out of Syria: An Endless War

President Trump’s decision earlier this month to withdraw approximately 1,000 US troops from Syria has been attacked from both sides of the aisle. Both Democrats and Republicans alike have criticized the decision on the basis that it is unfair to the Kurds, an Iranian ethnic group and ally of the United States. The argument centers on the fact that a US withdrawal puts the Kurds at risk, specifically from Turkey, who has vocally threatened violence against the Kurdish fighters, who they consider to be terrorists.

UN General Assembly: Macron Plays Matchmaker, Trump Offers to Mediate

French President Emmanuel Macron’s efforts to arrange a meeting between the US and Iranian leaders continued in New York on Tuesday. The American negotiator for peace in Middle East, Jared Kushner, continues to insist that an economic pathway is vital for Middle East peace. The Palestinians boycotted the conference but even Trump’s Arab allies saw the necessity of the two-state solution. Kushner was overwhelmed by the response he got. Violence Escalates in Southern Israel – War Started Again

After a short period of peace enjoyed by Israeli and Palestinians living in Gaza the war has started up again. The Cease Fire took affect on May 6 after a two day war where 700 missiles were fired from Gaza to Israel mostly intercepted by the Israel Iron dome, but several missiles did succeed to do damage and kill or injure Israelis.

Israel retaliated, striking military and political targets in Gaza, killing 23 Palestinians and injuring others. Egypt and Qatar succeeded to bring the two sides to a cease fire.
