The UN and EU are against Israel’s Annexation of the West Bank

Israel has been warned by both the European Union and the United Nations against annexing sections of the occupied West Bank. UN Middle East representative Nickolay Mladenov has said that such a move would undermine efforts to forge an internationally-recognized two-state solution that is designed to end the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a video conference with the UN Security Council, Mladenov has underlined that the annexation is a growing threat.

Blue and White leader Benny Gantz and Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu have both received the proposal with favor, but the other parties, who will be important to complete the required coalition, have different opinions about the Trump Plan.

Criticism of “Deal of the Century” Softened in UN Draft Resolution

Condemnation of the US peace plan for the Middle East was deleted from the text of a Palestinian draft resolution to be voted on in the UN Security Council on Tuesday, and it refrains from mentioning the United States, contrary to its first language. The text, presented to the 15 member states of the Security Council on Saturday and seen by the French news agency AFP, states that the initiative “departs from the internationally-endorsed terms of reference and parameters for the achievement of a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to this conflict, as enshrined in the relevant United Nations resolutions.”

Israel Roundup: IDF Develops Laser System, Former PM Shoots Down Deal of the Century

Israel continues to attempt to try to postpone an all-out war in the hope that a peaceful solution will come. U.S. President Donald Trump has entered into the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as a referee. Referees can sometimes be blamed for making mistakes.  Since introducing the Deal of the Century, tensions in Israel and Palestine are growing. Referees have an important place in sports. People want sometimes to put the blame on the referee, others accept that being a referee is difficult and necessary.

Trump Peace Plan of the Century Revealed to the World

Trump on Tuesday revealed his peace plan called the Plan of the Century.  It is good for the world and good for the Modern Nation of Israel which is a democracy.  It is against the fundamentalist religious of Islam and Judaism. Both fundamentalists want the whole world, a Universal State of Islam without borders, and a strictly Jewish State in the borders of the biblical land of Israel without freedom of religion. These two ideologies clash. In the center of this conflict are those human beings who want life and health and are not strictly religious.  Trump the leader of the Western World is offering Jews and Arabs the middle way where peace, and health come before religion.

This move by America has already angered Jordan and will anger other nations in the Middle East and Europe. President Trump has accepted Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  President Trump supports the annexation of the Golan Heights by Israel. Toronto Wins NBA Championship; Middle East Conflicts Continue

The Toronto Raptors have officially become champions in the NBA after defeating the Golden State Warriors in a very close game.  Kevin Lowry scored 26 points leading their team to a victory.  Kevin Lowry was singled out for his opposition to the Toronto Raptors fans cheering the injury to Kevin Durant.  The injury to Klay Thompson in the fourth quarter was the final clincher in the defeat of Golden State.  Clay Thompson we see was the difference between the two squads. Golden State without Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson already gave Toronto the edge eventually the championship.  The injury to Klay Thompson when he went up for the layup was for sure not intentional.  It was just an attempt to block his shot. The ballplayers showed proper sportsmanship during the game and afterwards.

Jerusalem Day – Sunday, June 2, 2019

On Sunday June 2, 2019 will be celebrated Jerusalem Day commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in the aftermath of the six day war in 1967.

Jerusalem was to be an International city neither Jewish nor Arab for a period of ten years when referendum would be made for the residents of Jerusalem to decide on which country to join.  The Jewish leadership accepted the plan and the Arabs rejected the proposal.

Coming Half Way – Two State Solution in the Middle East

Most of the problems of the world can be solved through compromise.  Compromise is not simple.

Compromise begins with two sides in conflict.  National compromise requires the guarantee of two nations which are in conflict to insure their security. In the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians each side must first be required to guarantee the other side’s security. To accomplish this task of peace in Israel requires two sides which are strongly united to become two nations separate and united.  To make peace between two nations you first need national unity.

Israel and Gaza Reach Cease Fire

Another flare up between Israel and Hamas began unexpectedly over the weekend.  While Jews in the south were praying in the Synagogue on Saturday morning (the day of the Sabbath) suddenly there were sirens.  The people interrupted their prayers and ran into bomb shelters. Officially another battle began between Israel and Gaza.  The war continued until 4:30 on Monday morning.

Nearly 700 rockets were fired from Gaza and four Israelis were killed.  Most of the missiles aimed at Israel population centers were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system.  Very few made clean hits into Israeli populated areas in the south including Beer Sheva, Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Sederot, Nitivot, Ofakim and Israel settlements in the south.
