Six people, including a police officer, three civilians and two gunmen, have died in a series of gun battles Tuesday in Jersey City, New Jersey. Two police officers who were also wounded in the shoot-out have been released from hospital, authorities have confirmed. The gun battle erupted near a local cemetery.
Six people died in a shooting that lasted more than two hours on Tuesday in the heart of Jersey City, New Jersey. Michael Kelly, police chief of the city, confirmed that one policeman and three civilians had been killed, as well as the two suspects believed to be behind the mid-day shootings, in a police cemetery and market in the city.
On Friday, North Carolina became the seventeenth state to legalize sports gambling. Gov.
