Is the purpose of religion to bring to the world a good and healthy life with the foundation of faith in One God, or is it to elevate humanity to look beyond this world into the world of eternal life? Both parts of religion are equally important. In the light of the crisis of Coronavirus physical life and its pleasures are becoming almost impossible for the national religious and secular. Faith in God and the afterlife is now of first importance which has been suppressed by many religious and secular philosophies.

A Prayer for Peace

The world is in turmoil. The threat of war is becoming real. Tensions in Venezuela between Madura and Guerra have created tension between United States and Russia two of the greatest nuclear powers in the world.  North Korea refuses to subdue before USA and continues to develop its nuclear capacity. Tensions in the Middle East are rising over oil interests in Libya. Saudi is applying pressure on the government of Libya in the same way it is pressuring the world accepted government in Yemen.  Sanctions on Iran from America have made tensions between China a nuclear power who depends on Iran for oil and America.  Iran is also protected by Russia one of the clients of Iran oil.  Russia is also behind the ruling government in Libya.

The God of Freedom – National Prayer Day

On May 2, 2019 was a National Day of Prayer in America.  The motto of this event is Pray for America. Love one another.  President Trump in honor of National Day of Prayer issued a proclamation.

At the White House was an event where President Trump spoke about the importance of prayer.  He also spoke about the importance of belief in God as part of America.  He had representatives from both Christian and Jewish Americans to lead in these prayers.  He singled out this year as a difficult year for peace between religions in America and mentioned the various terrorist attacks on synagogues, mosques and churches in the world.
