Russia Will Use Mi-38 as Protected Air Command Post

Russia announced that a Russian made medium multi-purpose helicopter will have capabilities to be used as a protected air command post (VCP) by the beginning of the next year. The helicopter that will be repurposed for such operations is the army version of the Mi-38.  It will be modified to be able to collect and process information about the course of combat operations in real time, as well as to coordinate the actions of the military. The model MI-38T was delivered to the Russian military in December 2019.
