As the year wanes on, summer break is already almost half over. Most of us with children are starting to count down the days until they are back in school, and out of the house. Working from home myself, they can be particularly raucous, especially when I am on an important phone call. It’s past the prime time of the year for getting a new tattoo, but I need to do something for myself this summer before the kids drive me crazy.
Tattoos have always been a big part of my life. My father was a tattoo artist, and put me through college for journalism by running a successful tattoo shop. I used to love going down and watching him create beautiful pieces of art when I was a child, everything from exquisitely detailed skulls, (we had a lot of bikers) to birds, flags, people, faces, animals and much more. One of my favorites was a green jade tiger. It looked so real I thought it would jump out at me.
It’s that wonderful time of year again. Tax season is over, summer is just around the corner, it’s time to get that shiny new tattoo you’ve been dreaming about all winter long! Whether its full dragon wings on your back, or just a pikachu on your ankle, we would like to share some of the best practices for getting a tattoo, choosing an artist, and most importantly, how to choose and best apply your favorite numbing product.

Tattoos. For many of us enthusiasts they are more than just decorative, more than just art or eye candy; they’re a window to our souls. Want to know my political views? Look at my left arm. My past successes and failures? Check out the right leg. Want to see a list of past lovers? Well, you’re gonna have to buy me a few shots of tequila before I get into that.
Looking for the Best / Strongest Numbing Cream?
We were reviewing with a friend the other day who has always wanted to get a tattoo, but who was desperately afraid of needles, and more specifically, needle pain. She asked me how was the best way to handled it, being a bit of a needle-phobe myself. We talked with her about some of the numbing products that I had tried out, but I didn’t even remember the name of what I had used. She raised another point, what works the best? I didn’t have an answer for her, so we decided that we would apply our next test and review on what is the strongest numbing cream !
