According to a report published by news agencies ANI and PTI, a charge sheet has been filed in the Hathras case against four accused of rape of a young woman. The four— named Sandeep, Lovekush, Ravi, and Ramu— were charged under sections including gang rape, murder, and ST, SC Atrocities Act.
Eight policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, have been killed after being fired upon by two criminals early Friday morning. According to police officials, many policemen have also been injured. A large number of police forces have been deployed at the scene.
At least 24 migrant laborers were killed, and 36 others wounded, after a truck carrying them collided with another vehicle in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, northern India. “The impact of the accident is such that both vehicles overturned and careened off the highway,” said the Superintendent of Police.

A 23-year-old rape victim has died following injuries she sustained when she was set ablaze on her way to a court in the city of Unnao, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, authorities said on Saturday. The 23-year-old woman was heading to court to testify against her rapists when a group of men, including two of the suspects, attacked her and set her on fire. She had been threatened on several occasions since she reported the incident.
