The Goal of Education

  • There are three steps in the development of the soul of a man which begins as a fetus in the womb of the mother. These three steps are childhood, adolescent, and adulthood.
  • It says in Psalms 111: 10, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
  • Freedom of religion gives each person a chance to reach the goal of God realization and self-realization to understand the meaning of peace.

There are three steps in the development of the soul of a man which begins as a fetus in the womb of the mother. These three steps are childhood, adolescent, and adulthood.  This applies to every human being. Educators emphasize the importance of childhood as a foundation for further development.  Education begins when the child opens his eyes.  The education of the baby is not only with words but with love and care.  When the baby already develops understanding begins the education of fear of God and fear of punishment. The education of love continues throughout childhood and is even more important than the education of fear of God, fear of punishment.

It says in Psalms 111: 10, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  This also applies to the fear of punishment to recognize danger.  A child may know God in his subconscious but on the conscious level God is his paternal father and mother.  The Bible teaches, “Your father and mother you should fear.”   Naturally a child fears his father and mother. He also loves his father and mother. The strongest connection between the father and mother and the child comes through feeding.  He recognizes his parents when they feed him and calls them mamma or papa. The father has a face primarily of fear masculine energy and the mother primarily love and warmth feminine energy. In terms of esoteric language the father represents wisdom and the mother understanding.  Understanding is connected to the heart and wisdom to the mind.

Both parents teach the child to be aware of danger. The mother naturally feels and is aware more of danger to her child then the father.  Wisdom is a more spiritual light than understanding.  Until the child reaches to the age of education kindergarten age the education is almost exclusively the job of the mother.  Education is the job of both parents. The parents appoint teachers to educate their children.

Religious schools begin even in Kindergarten to introduce to children the fear of God.  Each religion has its own way of instruction.  Fear of punishment begins even earlier when a child learns to walk and he falls.  Religious schools will begin to teach children the law of God bible study.  Slowly they learn the Bible, Torah or Koran which teaches them the fear of God, the fear of punishment, the fear of sin.  The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom which is taught through learning the Bible.

The second phase in education is the teaching of peace. The teaching of peace is adult education but it can begin in adolescence.  The teaching of peace is neglected by educators.  The teaching of peace includes understanding the meaning of peace.  When religions are at war, there is very little room for peace education. Peace is called Shalom by Jews, Salem by Muslims, Om to Hindus, Christians have no special word for peace just peace.  There is a special word for peace in the Hebrew Bible which is called the secret of the name of God.

Education begins with the fear of God. Adult education ends with the knowledge of God.  The knowledge of God includes in it the fear of God, fear of punishment and fear of sin.  The knowledge of God is connected to the love of God, the mercy of God included in it justice.  Children go to religious school where they get oriented in Bible and scripture, but when they get older have no time for the most important learning which is the learning of peace.  In the middle of life comes marriage. Marriage requires making a livelihood which means learning a trade.  Going out into the world to find a job takes up most the energies of intellect and leaves very little time remaining for spiritual enrichment.

Judaism neglected the importance of the knowledge of the soul and God because of the pressures on Jews of assimilation.  As the first of the three major religions it emphasizes exclusively fear of God. Most spiritual stimulation in the Jewish world comes from the learning of Talmudic law which almost emphasizes exclusively the fear of God.  A family man comes home from work, eats dinner with his children and go out to the House of Study and learns Talmud or Shulcan Aruch the Code of Jewish law.  There are today several schools in Judaism which provide enrichment in topics of Unity of God.

Neglect of education of the meaning of peace in all religions has brought about the conflicts between religions.  According to the philosophy of Bha”i or Progressive Jewish Spirituality there are really no conflicts between religions, there is only the neglect of education in the meaning of peace.  It is a shame that President Trump has to teach the world the meaning of peace with a strong hand and an outstretched arm of American Might but it is needed today.

Freedom of religion gives each person a chance to reach the goal of God realization and self-realization to understand the meaning of peace. Religion alone is limited to one way, one side of truth but the secret of peace includes two opposite realms of spirituality male and female spiritual energies religion and faith, old and new, love and fear.  Religion does not give freedom.  Freedom comes as a gift of God but can also be a curse if it is used improperly.  The difference in the way freedom is used and abused can be seen by the songs and lyrics of three entertainers at Eurovision. Madonna already in her 60’s sang at Eurovision songs with spiritual lyrics songs of prayer with fear of God and love of God “Heaven help me, like a child you whisper to me.”  “They think we are not aware of our crimes.”

Serhat a middle aged man from San Marino sang about connecting to God in prayer just by saying Na, Na.

Our Israel representative Netta Barzillai last year’s winner in Eurovision who is only 27 years old sang a song with the lyrics “Na Na Banana I do what I want to do.”  She thinks she is free to do whatever she wants which is her mistake.  She should learn from Madonna and from Serhat and learn again to walk “The fear of God is the beginning of education.” With age we learn to be humble. God help Israel and the world to learn the meaning of the fear of God the peaceful way and not through war.

Religion is Old Age like Christians call the Five Books of Moses the Old Testament but even Christianity is religion.  It was new at one time but became Old Age when it became a religion.  Religion looks more into the past which means the memory of an event in history connected to a prophet. Judaism teaches the memory of the creation of the world, and the memory of the exodus from Egypt before the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai.  Christianity remembers the crucifixion of Christ and his resurrection which was a new event in the world after Mount Sinai.  Islam also is built on events in the past recorded in the Koran such as the ascension of Mohammed.

Religion will also look toward the future.  There are many prophecies in the Bible about the future including the war of Gog and Magog Ezekiel 38: followed by the New World of Peace and Unity.  There is prophesy of Isaiah of a New World the Messianic Age when “the Lion shall lie down with the lamb.” Judaism waits anxiously for the Messiah when Jerusalem will be rebuilt followed by the revival of the dead. Afterlife is in the future for every deed of kindness done in this world.

The secret of faith and peace is in the present which includes in it the past and the future.  The present is called the New Age because it never becomes old.  In the present is the eternal revelation of God whose name is peace or Shalom.  Religion begins with teaching the memories of faith in scripture and the study of the teachings of the prophet of truth.  The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.  In religion there are promises of the coming of the Messiah and the New Messianic Age in the future. Only through the study of the meaning of peace which is neglected by all religions can be achieved these revelations speedily in our times.
