- The world has a God and a purpose.
- The purpose of the world is the revelation of the Messiah.
- The world needs government which means it needs law and order.
Corona virus is forcing religious leaders to tell the truth about the Messiah. In the middle of each world crisis whether it be a World War or a Pandemic people begin think about the Messiah. Religious leaders already for two thousand years answer the questions of people in turmoil from the pains of suffering and death, “The Messiah is at the door ready to come.”
Already two thousand years waiting for the Messiah whether it is for Jesus to return or for the Jewish National Messiah to be revealed already people want to know the truth.
There are those religious leaders that promise that the Messiah will change the world into a Garden of Eden. They say that through the Messiah the world will not be the same and there will be continuous miracles. Christian religious leaders will promise the Messiah for those that believe in Jesus. Jewish religious leaders promise a redemption for the return to Zion, and establishment of the Biblical Nation of Israel.
Corona has come unexpected. The Messiah has not yet been revealed.
Messiah is a real concept but to expect a man to change the whole world to become a Garden of Eden is to make the Messiah a man into God. The Jewish people have a great expectation of the Messiah to bring their people out of the diaspora and to deliver them to live in Israel. Israel will become a sovereign religious state. The world which opposes the Jewish people will be destroyed. The Jewish people will be victorious. God will be revealed through them to the world.
The Jewish people plan to rebuild the holy temple in Jerusalem. The prophets related that the holy temple will be a house for all the nations of the world. The Zohar and other Jewish texts teach that the third holy temple will come down from heaven. Christian messianic teachers claim that Jesus will not accept the building of another Jewish temple.
In the last generation in Judaism the Messiah became an important topic. The Lubavitcher Rebbe told his students to study texts his speeches and other texts in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. He said the coming of the Messiah and the receiving of the Messiah is most important. The world has reached the time for his coming.
The Messiah for Islam is when the whole world will accept the teaching of the Koran. The Messiah for Christians is built upon the acceptance of their sacred scriptures. The Messiah for Judaism is to be according to the teachings of Maimonides based upon the Talmud. There are three conflicting opinions about the coming of the Messiah.
To be a good Jew is to accept only the Jewish interpretation. To be a good Christian and Moslem is to accept only their interpretation. There are in this way three interpretations in the battle for the coming of the Messiah. Jewish texts will claim that the Jewish Messiah is the only true Messiah. When the Jewish Messiah will come will be forgotten the hopes for the other Messiahs. All three faiths have the same claims.
Jews were the first to introduce a Messianic concept to the world. The Messianic concept which the Jews brought to the world was for a Jewish National religious redemption. This approach backfired when was revealed Jesus a Jewish spiritual man as the Messiah for the world. Jesus was born from a Jewish mother. He introduced in his time the concept of the coming of the Messiah according to the Jewish prophets with his own interpretation. The Jewish prophets already had revealed the coming of a Messianic era. The texts of Isaiah, Jerimiah, and Ezekiel have a similar Messianic theme. The light of God of Judaism began to dim at the time of the first temple which stood four hundred years. This light needed to be re-enlivened through the hope of the coming of the Messiah. To bring the Messiah the Jewish people needed to repent for their sins.
The texts of the prophets were written during the time of the first temple. Jerimiah wrote his prophecies at the time of the destruction of the first temple. Isaiah wrote his texts in the last third of the period of the first temple. Ezekiel wrote his prophecy while the Jews were in exile in Babylon. After the destruction of the first temple there were no longer prophets except for the first generation of those that returned from Babylon to build the second temple.
Jewish people at the time of the second temple living under Roman rule were anxious for the coming of the Messiah. Today amidst the Corona crisis people are anxious for the coming of the Messiah. People who are suffering are looking for a meaning in life. When life is good people are not looking for change. The prophets wrote their texts for people living in darkness to bring hope that life would improve, a hope for salvation.
Moses was the prophet that is most famous. Moses wrote the Bible and gave it to the Jewish people. In the Old Testament it doesn’t talk about the Messiah. Only in later Jewish writing based on the works of the prophets does it mention the Messiah in the Talmud. Moses is not called the Messiah but is called the redeemer of the Jewish people.
The Jewish messiah is related to King David. King Solomon the son of King David built the first holy temple. The prophet Samuel anointed Saul to be the first king of Israel. Samuel the prophet is revered even to be considered to be greater than Moses. When the Jewish people were ready to appoint a King they asked the prophet Samuel to make the anointment. The Prophet Samuel hesitated at first; but finally made the appointment that Saul should be the first King of Israel.
After Saul died his son-in-law David and the children of David became kings of Israel. The Messiah of the Jewish people will return the Kingship of David to Israel. According to the Messianic hopes of the Jewish people the nation of Israel will return to be a Kingship like in the times of Solomon with a holy temple. The Messiah of the Jewish people is to be the first new king of Israel.
Jewish law is the foundation of the Jewish people the root of their survival as a nation. Judaism is a national religion of the Jewish nation. Jews are the children descended from their forefather Abraham Isaac and Jacob. In the Oral teachings given by Moses to the Jewish people the King of their nation is second only to God and his law. Moses also gave to the Jewish people the five books of Moses called the Old Testament. In the Old Testament there is the connection to Adam in the Garden of Eden in addition to the story of the Jewish people until Joshua brought the people into Israel to begin to conquer the land and build their nation. Moses died in the wilderness and did not enter Israel.
From the Old Testament evolved a second interpretation of the coming of the Messiah through Jesus with the hope of returning the world to the euphoria of Adam in the Garden of Eden. The Jewish messiah is for the sake of returning the Jewish people to their land and establishing again their kingship. Connecting the world to Adam in the Garden of Eden became known as the Universal Messiah which did not demand any lineage. The Messiah of the Jewish people is connected to the lineage of the saints Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Moses guided the world in two directions connecting to God through a national religion and connecting to God through Adam and a universal religion. Islam came after Jesus to connect the world through a national religion built upon the Koran called Islam. Three religions came to be connected to the Old Testament. The Old Testament told the story of Ishmael the son of Abraham who separated from his father with his mother Hagar. One nation became built through Isaac the son of Abraham the Jewish nation. Later came another nation from Ishmael.
The universal light of God which came from the Old Testament was Christianity with Jesus as the Messiah the king of the Universal faith. Jesus the King of the universal faith was in contrast to the Jewish Messiah which had not yet come connected to King David and his kingship. In effect there was a Universal Messiah and a National Messiah for the Jewish people that had not yet come but was part of the prophecies of the Jewish prophets.
Christians claim Jesus will come back again and redeem the world. Jewish law claims that it will be King David to re-establish the Nation of Zion. The prophet Moses was not the Messiah but the first redeemer. To believe in the Messiah is first and most important to believe in Moses and the Bible. At the splitting of the Red Sea is written, And they believed in God and in Moses his servant. Moses died in the wilderness but his burial site is unknown. The future of Moses is unknown. Judaism begins with the teachings of Moses to Joshua which are continued from generation to generation. In these teachings are the Messianic Jewish hopes.
In the midst of Corona crisis those that want the Messiah can look in two directions. They can look toward the coming of a national messiah for Zion or Islam or for a Universal Messiah for the whole world without any separations between people. Jewish law separates the Jews from the rest of the world. Sharia, Islamic law separates Moslems from Jews and Christian pagans. Christian law has failed to connect all Christians to Jesus and the New Testament. Christian law is even stricter in many ways from Jewish law.
Mayor De Blasio made a statement in the middle of Corona crisis in NY. He said, the world needs government. Government is ordering people to quarantine. Government is providing the sick with hospital beds and medicine. Moses three thousand years ago told the Jewish people that they need to make a government and he gave them their law the Law of Moses. Even Jesus the Messiah of the Universal faith freeing mankind from racism told his followers that they should make for their followers a religion for the sake of law and order. Everyone whether secular or religious agree on the importance of law and order which needs government.
God gave the divine law to Moses. Jesus gave to mankind freedom. Jesus also stressed importance of law and made a law for Christians. Mohammed made a law for Muslims. People need the Messiah especially in these difficult times. They need the Messiah to come to enforce the law of God. The world already has for two thousand years the Messiah of the Universal faith Jesus Christ. Moses gave a law; Jesus gave a law but which is not accepted by mankind.
In the last generation was revealed in Judaism the Messiah of the law of Moses, The Lubavitcher Rebbe. Now there are two Messiahs in the world, the Messiah of Universal faith and the Messiah of the Law of God given to Moses. The Lubavitcher Rebbe stressed the keeping of the seven commandments of the children of Noah. He also encouraged Jews to connect to their religion. In this way the Lubavitcher Rebbe was also universal but not to be considered the Messiah of the universal faith.
In the Christian world there are teachers of the law of the Messiah of the Universal faith. In the Jewish world in this generation there are teachers of Torah. Islam also has its teachers. Moses died in the wilderness but his grave is unknown. The future of Moses and his burial was hidden. Today he has resurrected to unite Judaism, Christianity and Islam together with their teachers and the whole world to reveal the name of God which is peace.
The last message given by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to the world is that the work of the Messiah is the work of every person. Everyone has in him a spark of the Messiah. Through uniting with the Messiah of the universal faith and the Messiah of Judaism the world can overcome Corona to reveal the name of God Shalom. Elijah who went up in a cloud to heaven escaping death has returned to the world again to reveal the resurrection of Moses. God has sent to the world Corona to wake up the world to receive the Messiah of the Law of Moses, the Lubavitcher Rebbe and his message to keep the seven commandments of the children of Noah. Moses has resurrected to unite freedom with religion.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe the Jewish Messiah left another message for Jews and the whole world when in times of crisis: The world has a God and a purpose. The purpose is the revelation of the Messiah.
