- Nations defend their borders and their people.
- Israel is a nation whose homeland is the land of Israel.
- The Jewish people who have returned to Israel will fight for their land.
There have been many wars in history. Today war has no purpose. Border disputes between nations still exist. India and Pakistan sometimes fight over Kashmir. China and India clash again over the LAC border. LAC border is Line of Actual Control separating Eastern Ladakh and Aksai Chin in the Demchok sector between India and China about which the two countries fought a brief war in 1962.
Another border dispute is between Ukraine and Russia over Crimea. In the news every day is the border dispute between Israel and Palestine which the Deal of the Century of President Trump was intended to solve before came the Corona Pandemic. It is hard to find a place in the world where there is not a border conflict. There are border conflicts throughout the five continents.
Border conflicts developed throughout history as the world became populated. Groups of families in the history of the world organized and united into nations. Each nation conquered or acquired a land to be its home. Nations stretched out and expanded their territories and developed empires. When these empires fell the lands which they conquered were divided into smaller nations.
In more recent history the Ottoman Empire was defeated by the Allied powers in World War I and their territories were divided between Great Britain and France. At the beginning of the 17th century the Ottoman Empire controlled most of Southeastern Europe, Central Europe, Western Asia, parts of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Northern Africa, and the horn of Africa. It united with Germany in World War I and was defeated. Turkey defeated the allies in a war of independence to become an independent nation with Istanbul its capital which was called Constantinople. Constantinople was the capital of the Byzantine Empire also called Eastern Roman empire which was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1453.
Nations are always prepared for war in order to protect their territories and their inhabitants. Nations have armies to protect their borders. Nations have police for the sake of law and order to give their citizens domestic tranquility. Citizens are either drafted into the army or they enlist. The lands which are occupied by nations were either conquered by these nations or given to them when larger empires were divided.
Israel became a nation at Mount Sinai when they were given the Torah. In the Torah was the instructions from Moses containing the Laws and Statutes which would become the constitution of the Biblical Nation of Israel. When the Jewish people left Israel and after forty years wandering the wilderness they entered the land of Israel under the leadership of Joshua. Joshua conquered the land and divided the land up into twelve parts each given to one of the twelves tribes of Israel. After the death of Joshua the land of Israel was ruled by Judges.
The Biblical Book of Joshua is the story of the conquest and division of the land. The book of Judges which followed Joshua is about the occupation of the land. Even though the land was conquered by Joshua it still needed to be defended from its enemies. The final conquest took place in the time of King David over four hundred years after Joshua and the Jewish people entered the land. The Bible relates that the land of Israel was given by God to the Jewish people.
The border dispute between the Modern State of Israel and its Palestinian neighbors came as a result of the end of the British Mandate when the British had acquired the land of Israel Palestine after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in World War I. Israel is a nation with a Biblical history of a people who lived in the land of Israel for over eight hundred years and built in Jerusalem the holy temple. The Western Wall in Jerusalem is the remains of the holy temple which was destroyed by the Romans.
The Jewish people maintained their connection to the land of Israel when living in the diaspora through their religion. They have always prayed that someday they would be able to return to the land as a people. Most nations after they were conquered have lost their heritage. The Jewish people were made a nation by God under the leadership of Moses in a way that their heritage and connection to the land of Israel would never be forgotten.
Jews lived in the Middle East throughout history especially after the Spanish Inquisition when they were exiled from Spain and settled in Middle Eastern nations. At the end of the British Mandate when the Middle East was nationalized and divided, the Jewish settlers of the land of Israel took a portion of the Biblical land in the War of Independence in 1948. Almost all the Sephardic Jews living in neighboring nations immigrated to Israel their religious homeland. Sephardic Jews are called Sephardic which is translated as Spanish Jews because they once lived in Spain and were expelled during the Spanish Inquisition.
In Israel and in many places in the world there are border disputes. These borders which are in dispute stand in the way of peace. Nations are only at peace when they have secure borders. They can only have secure borders when the dispute of their territories are solved peacefully. Until these disputes are solved peacefully there will have to be sometimes confrontations at these borders. Israel has developed a strong army and air force. Even without a peace treaty with a strong army and air force they can maintain national security. Wars interrupt domestic tranquility. There is no peace treaty today between the Jews and Palestinians to prevent future wars.
Corona virus has interfered with normal life in the world. It has added instability to normal living conditions. The focus has been diverted from national conflicts in the world with potential to cause wars, to the war against Corona virus. The main enemy today is Corona virus. There are many people who believe that Corona virus has come to postpone another war in the Middle East. Jews and Arabs do not want the two state solution. You need two sides to make peace. Corona has temporarily postponed another war in the Middle East. In the war with Corona everyone is on the same side. Annexation has been temporarily postponed. The Deal of the Century of Trump has been postponed.
Nationalism is a necessary evil. Nations are sometimes at war and sometimes at peace. In nationalism there is no permanent peace. Each nation is responsible to protect its own citizens. Nations have to be ready for war. The nation of Israel is attached to the Bible where is written that the land of Israel is the Jewish inheritance. This gives Jews more of a reason to fight for the land. The Jewish people have no other homeland than the land of Israel.
The land of Israel is necessary for the survival of the Jewish people. The Jewish people living in Israel will fight for their nation. President Trump recognizes that when the Jewish people were given independence in their land which was given to their forefathers by God, they will not surrender and fight. Knowing how important the land of Israel is to the Jewish people he tried to prevent war through the Deal of the Century. His intentions were good, but God interfered through bringing the Corona Pandemic.
Nations are always at war. Israel and Islam are nations descended from families with Biblical histories Ishmael and Jacob. Ishmael has inherited many lands on the face of the earth. Jacob and Israel only has one land, the land of Israel. The Jewish people will fight for Israel since it is their only homeland. When there will be peace in Israel; the whole world will be at peace. This day has not yet arrived; and may never arrive. In the meantime to find peace, an eternal peace look toward heaven. Look to the two Messiahs of eternal peace, eternal life. Read and study the Bible.
The Universal faith which unites with God all the three prophets of the major faiths of Judaism, Islam and Christianity reveals the permanent eternal peace which was once known to Adam and Eve who lived in the Garden of Eden before began nationalism. In the Garden of Eden they enjoyed the Sabbath. The Garden of Eden and the first Sabbath are hidden today under the thorns and thistles of war and disease. The secret of the Garden of Eden is reserved for those that live a righteous and happy life. You are invited to visit the Garden of Eden by King Solomon in his book the Song of Songs, “Come into my Garden my daughter by bride.”
To know that there are two worlds interwoven, the world of God and Adam where is the Garden of Eden and the world of nationalism is a taste of peace divine happiness in the midst of the conflicts of everyday life. The struggles of life are worthwhile but without the divine knowledge they can become overwhelming.
